It just works!!!
I am not a big “reviewer” unless something is a total bust or really great. In this case, the Fi Mini is really great. It fits great on our 7 pound Chihuahua puppy. I was worried that anything would be too big, but this is not the case. It works perfectly and the iPhone app is easy to use. I made a safe zone around our home and as soon as it leaves that zone we get a notification. The app provides great metrics on Pedro’s activity including sleep, drinking, and activity. It also provides a place to upload vet information and shot records. Really a total package and highly recommended.

This is a nice tracker. Great size for our miniature schnauzer. The battery life is fantastic (almost two weeks!) and the software interface is great with lots of information

Terrified tracking
Terrific product! Mounted on 1” snap on collar on my ruff and tumble Airedale. Stays secure in its pouch, great cellular tracking and reporting, charges fast. Excellent all around!

Surprisingly ineffective.
Not what I expected. Did not work for our specific situation. The technology isn’t quite there yet. Read on . . .Our indoor cat figured out how to use our doggie door. I thought this might at least help notify us when she left the house, or the yard, and let us know where she is so we could track her down. It doesn’t. We set up our GeoFence as small as the app would allow, which in our case was still too big. I set the app Safe Zone as close as I could the the back door. I assumed that we’d be notified if she left the house and went into the yard. Nope.On numerous occasions the past week, she was in the yard and well beyond with ZERO app notification. I was watching her every move in the yard and was clearly out the designated area set on the app, by 30 – 40 yards. Yet as I write this review, I’ve received three notifications from the app that she’s “on the move”. The tracker is sitting on the counter in our kitchen. Go figure.My car’s gps is dramatically more accurate than this thing, which is why I made the incorrect assumption that this would be accurate as well. In theory, this is a great idea, but in practice, it ain’t all that.The number of positive reviews surprise me as this was one reason we decided to try this product. It might be great if you have an outdoor cat and want to know where to find it if it’s a few blocks or miles away. If you’re trying to keep your cat from wandering away from your house or yard, look elsewhere. Returning it today.

Ideal for tracking cat location.
Very accurate. My cat disappears for days at a time and I wanted to see where he goes. I was amazed at how far he traveled. Questioned if it was accurate until I drove half a mile to the last shown location, and there he was. Not too big for him. Shows local map location on phone. Well built. Only issue is battery life is only a couple days, likely because he is away. Battery has to be removed from coller and case to be recharged. Somewhat difficult. I recommend this product.

Ok, but Not Great
I’ve had this for a couple months now and there are pros and cons. My cat likes to roam my neighborhood, so I bought this for peace of mind. I’m a helicopter parent, but she was a stray in our neighborhood and is happiest with a little bit of outside time. She only wears the collar when she is outside.Pros: The battery life is exceptional. I only need to charge it once a week. I used to turn it off when not in use by pushing a mechanical pencil tip into the button, but that’s not necessary. It is also light and doesn’t bother my cat to wear on her collar.Not the best, but I’ll accept it: It does require access to your phone’s location at all times. Since my cat doesn’t wear this all the time, I disable location services for the app when the collar isn’t in use. Also, the tracking is quite accurate, when it works. When my cat leaves the designated zone I set for her, I get an alert and I can track her down pretty easily. Once she is close by, the app says she is connected to my phone, so I look in bushes or trees. Once, she started roof hopping, and the tracker really helped me pinpoint where she was so I could coax her down safely. Her original way up wasn’t feasible as a way down! The app also helped me stop her from crossing a major street.Cons: On numerous occasions, the device has disconnected while she was out. This happens when she is away from my wifi and cell phone. Often, she is disconnected for anywhere from 10-20 minutes! This is enough time for her to get into trouble and is a real frustration point for me. I don’t feel like I can let her roam the way I intended when I bought this device, and it does not give me complete peace of mind. The lost mode love tracking also takes a significant amount of time to start, and often doesn’t work.So overall, the device has helped me in some tricky situations, but I don’t let her wander on her own while wearing it anymore. It’s just too risky. She wears it when I walk her around the neighborhood, in case she gets the zoomies and runs.

Works good
So far it has worked pretty good except one time it disconnected and could get a signal and we were out of town so we weren’t able to see where the animal was for almost 2 days. Other than that, it has worked great.
