Cheap price for high quality. These have always been my favorite wired headphones, and honestly, it is hard to beat the simplicity of the 3.5mm plug. You just plug them in and they work—no batteries to charge and no Bluetooth pairing to worry about.Sound and MicThe sound quality is crisp and clear, exactly what you expect from Apple. The inline microphone is excellent; it picks up my voice clearly for phone calls, and I like that I can easily hold the wire closer to my mouth if I’m in a noisy environment. The design is timeless and stylish.Packaging ChangeMy only complaint is the packaging. Years ago, these used to come with a hard plastic “jewel case” that was perfect for winding the cord up and keeping it untangled in your pocket. Now, they just come in disposable paper packaging, so you don’t have a dedicated box for wire management anymore.VerdictStill the best option for wired earbuds. These days many brands make Apple look like EarPods. I like the quality and each time it works great. Good quality sound and connect easy to iPhone.

Low price, better-than-average quality, iffy durability
Adequate headphones. Mostly reliable. Very capable of supplying rumbling bass and crisp treble on a wide soundstage, however the in-ear angle is often not correct for most frequencies to travel uninhibited. You need earbud covers for these to stay in place, and even then you have to adjust the earbuds juuuuuust right to enjoy quality audio. I often need to press the earbuds slightly forward or backward when I want the most from my mobile music. For the most part, Apple EarPods will sound a bit tinny, with better-than-average bass response provided you use earbud covers. If you jostle the earbuds a bit and hold them in place they will perform well.Durability is iffy because of one weakpoint: After about a year of constant use, the wires break down near the Y-junction where left and right earbuds join together. The rubber pulls free of its housing at the Y-junction. After this happens, it is very easy to accidentally introduce static electricity into the internals. I’ve zapped three pairs of headphones in three years by moving a large blanket around. This is usually how I find out the rubber is compromised.Cost of repairs tends to exceed cost of purchasing a new unit, which is a definite plus for budget headphones that sound pretty good.

Apple EarPods (USB-C)Okay honestly for $24 these are the best sounding cost effective wired earbuds money can buy. Money can buyIt’s nothing fancy, no noise canceling, just an ear bud that fits into most people’s ears comfortably, has a little volume up and down controlled at works even on an Android phone, and actually sounds fantastic for the price. It’s still a great value and easily can recommend this as a backup to Bluetooth. There are lots of USBC wired earbuds out there for about the same amount of money… But these ones are hands down actually. Very good.Sound quality wise. The bass to treble is well balanced and seals right into your ears quite nicely. Honestly, I really can’t complainGreat value cost effective. Pretty good sound for the price. You really can’t go wrong. If you’re looking for a wired USBC backup for your Apple or even Android phone, you literally can’t go wrong with these and I don’t recommend looking for third-party cheaper no name brands because I’ve tried a dozen of those other brands and nothing compared to the sound quality that these offer. Hands downUpdate:Apple Earpods (3.5mm Headphone Plug)Got the 3.5mm plug version.. same fit as USBC one. Since it’s an analog plug is specifically got it to plug right into xbox controller for online game chat. It’s less weight on the head than any other headphon+boom mic gamer headphones. Actually sounds just great and mic works great with Xbox. I dislike having such a heavy sweaty headphone while playing games. These are awesome. They’re deceptively great sounding compared to other wires earbuds. Fit nicely and don’t hurt long term. I recommend these easily for gamers who like to chat whilst gaming.
