Great vent mount setup and strong magnet
I like this gizmo. I’ve had a couple of MagSafe car mounts over the years, but none that actually offer wireless charging. This one is my first to be both mount and charger. That’s cool.In practice, though, it’s not that different from just having a non-charging MagSafe phone mount and plugging a USB-C cable into that. It DOES make using your phone in landscape a bit easier, and it saves the 0.73 seconds it takes to plug your phone in, but that’s about it. Still, it’s kind of convenient, and I think if I had to choose which setup to use, I’d choose this wireless charging option every time.As far as the quality of the product goes, I was pleasantly surprised by everything included in the kit. It’s all solid and strong, and it’s all durable and functional.The vent mount—which is what I use—is well-made and robust, and it’s really easy to install. It’s also easy to tighten the MagSafe mount portion with the plastic nut. Getting the perfect angle for your phone is trivial, too, since tightening doesn’t fully immobilize the disc. You can still move the disc around with a little elbow grease, but it’s tight enough to stay in place wherever you leave it.The dash mount is fine, but I’m not a fan of the style. I’m sure it works, but I stay away from any kind of adhesive solution for stuff like this. I also stay away from suction-cup-based windshield mounts, so—for me, anyway—the lack of such a contrivance in this package is not a negative.As an aside, I will say this: If you run air conditioning, vent mounts really are the best. Dash mounts and windshield mounts tend to leave your phone exposed to too much heat. The last time I used a windshield mount, my phone turned off in the middle of navigation due to overheating issues. I’ve never had that happen with a vent mount solution.NOTES:✏️ The instructions say you shouldn’t use this MagSafe charger with anything other than the included USB-C cable and included 12V car charger. However, I used this device with my existing car charger and existing cables (each with a different power throughput), and both worked fine. I’m sure there are probably some cables that won’t work with this particular MagSafe charger, but all of mine did. I suspect this is more of a formality than a functional warning. Your cables and charger plugs will work fine.✏️ Some people worry that vent mounts will break their air vents or vanes in some way. This really doesn’t happen. The only issue is that when you use a vent mount, you disable the vertical adjustment on the vent in question. That’s no big deal for me, but if it bothers you, then the adhesive windshield/dash mount option will be better.✏️ The instructions indicate that this MagSafe mount is not strong enough to handle off-road applications. I can’t test that, but I would question it. I ordered this magnetic phone holder/charger to bring some order to my daughter’s car, and so far it’s working very well.She’s currently using the vent mount until she decides where to place the permanent adhesive mount. Like every vent mount I’ve ever used, it barely holds on and always feels like it’s one bump away from breaking a vent fin. That said, all vent mounts are like this, so I’m not taking off a star for it.The adhesive dash mount is much better designed. It uses two support feet instead of one, which spreads the load and reduces stress on the adhesive. The double-sided tape has 3M peel-off liners, and in my experience, 3M tape holds extremely well when the surface is properly cleaned with rubbing alcohol. If it ever needs to be removed, gentle heat from a steam gun or hair dryer will soften the adhesive and allow removal without damaging most dashboards.The magnetic head holds her Samsung S24 Ultra with a MagSafe case securely with no risk of dropping. At first, my daughter thought the ball joint was too loose because the phone slowly tilted downward over bumps. The fix was simply tightening the locking ring behind the ball joint, which solved the problem completely.Wireless charging works as advertised at up to 15W. After upgrading her car’s power adapter, the phone now consistently charges at the full rate.For about $20, this is a solid, well-built magnetic charger. Once you understand the quirks listed above, it performs exactly as it should and is well worth the price.

The phone snaps into place confidently and centres itself correctly on the charging coil without needing adjustment. Once mounted, it stays secure even over uneven road surfaces, which inspires confidence when using it for navigation. The magnetic pull feels well balanced, strong enough to hold the phone firmly but still easy to remove with one hand.Charging performance has been consistent. With a suitable high-output car adapter, power delivery feels stable and well regulated, with no noticeable interruptions when switching between portrait and landscape orientation. Heat management appears well thought out, as the charger remains only mildly warm during use rather than becoming hot, suggesting the internal temperature control and airflow design are doing their job properly.Build quality is better than expected. The housing feels solid with no creaking or flex, the ball joint holds its position without sagging, and adjustments stay locked once set. I was after a car mount for my phone that I could use in the air vents as my car has that horrible textured dashboard that most mounts struggle to stick too. This magsafe mount charger from MOKPR does a great job at not only having my phone in a convenient position, but also keeping it charged whilst I drive as well.I have an Android phone – Google Pixel 10 Pro. The magsafe charger works perfectly with the phone, and supports it in position whilst also charging the phone.It was easy to setup, it comes with 2 mounts – 1 for the dash, or 1 for the vent. I literally just put the vent dash into the dash and it locked into position, all I then needed to do was to screw the magnet onto the front of it, so it was in position. The mounts are also adjustable so you can position them to your liking.Also in the box is an 18w QC3.0 charger and USB cable so that the charger can be powered from the car port. As well as a little cable tidy that can be stuck to the dashboard.Everything was easy to assemble and works exactly as intended!Overall for the current price of £26 I’m really happy with this as I’ve got an all in one phone mount and charger!

The MagSafe mount charger arrives in a compact package that contains all components and an excellent set of instructions.There is a choice for use in mounting on an air vent or to the dashboard. The vent mount feels good quality and is a standard design. The hard surface mount is a clever design using two adhesive pads on adjustable ‘legs’ that would greatly increase the choice of locations not practical with a single pad if there were curved surfaces or where a single pad would be too small. The surface mount is fully adjustable which clamps tightly to lock in place.The charger is good value for money. Included is a 15W USB A cigarette lighter plug and a USB A to USB C cable. There is also a thoughtful addition of a cable tidy that sticks to the surface and has a magnetic hinged cap to hold the cable in place. With a choice of mounts and the functionality of the magnet head also being a charger means this is a highly recommended device.
