The decision was made following a review of \u201ccountry-specific\u201d conditions<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Food delivery service Deliveroo<\/strong> will cease operations in Singapore after Mar 4. <\/p>\n

In a statement on its website today (Feb 25), the platform said that it was\u00a0exiting the market and would begin an orderly wind-down process.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a difficult decision and follows a review of country-specific conditions, and our focus on investing where we see the clearest path to sustainable scale and long-term leadership,\u201d said the statement.<\/p>\n

The company added that it would \u201cwork closely\u201d with local teams to support customers, partners and riders through the transition.<\/p>\n

It will also exit three other markets<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Deliveroo first launched in Singapore back in Nov 2015.<\/p>\n

It said the exit was part of a broader review of the company\u2019s international portfolio. <\/p>\n

Apart from Singapore, its parent company, DoorDash<\/a>, said in a separate press release that it will cease operations in three other markets: Qatar, Japan, and\u00a0Uzbekistan. <\/p>\n

It is also implementing limited operational changes in select locations, including investing in certain engineering roles in the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n

Vulcan Post <\/em>has reached out to Deliveroo for comments. <\/p>\n
