Nice product but a bit disappointed, Great customer service
I have an Axcessibles AV Rack and am very happy with it. I even answered a few questions for other buyers with positive feedback on the AV rack. So I did not hesitate to order their 2U drawer even though it was “used / like new” condition. I suspected a nick or blemish in the finish but when it arrived the drawer was very hard to open. Being a cabinet maker I quickly realized the drawer was made a full 3/16″ to 1/4″ too narrow to work with the drawer slides. I was not expecting that and was quite disappointed with this. I added a few spacers and the drawer works better but is a long way from perfect. So I have some reservations about their quality control. Too bad as the drawer unit itself is very heavy duty and nicely made overall. The quality of the unit is great. The handle and lock appear good quality. Too bad I can’t rate the unit higher due to the poor drawer fitment. This was the last unit in stock and I wonder if that is the reason why it has poor quality. No one wanted to buy itRevising Rating to 4 stars, Axcessables contacted me right away and is working on sending a new unit when it becomes available. Impressive! No finger pointing just asked for information and communicated professionally.2nd revision. I have to say after owning two of these drawer units for a while given the construction, the thick gauge steel and overall quality and durability I have to give them 5 stars.

Perfect addition to your rack set up
I placed this drawer in my rack and it is perfect for storing all the tiny little things I use in my rack. I can keep organizing tools like wire wraps, port plugs, rack screws, extra ethernet cables, tools for making/repairing wires, even printer ink or other small items. It required no assembly, just the standard rack screws to install. Was a nice prince and I use it /interact with in multiple times a week. It also gives me a nice place to keep my portable screen to access things on my rack and gives me a n=ice place to use a mouse when working in that area without needing a table. it looks great and improves the organization and look for my whole rack/closet.

Could have been great….
I use Rackstuds in my rack. So there are posts that stick out where rackmount equipment sits on then you put a nut of sorts on the post and tighten down them down to secure the equipement. Unfortunately the drawer I received had a misaligned front panel and unless I push the drawer all the way to the left, it will not close because it hits the top right Rackstud. The drawer face is off about 3/16″ or so. It is very annoying to say the least. I saw there were a lot of complaints on this but the 3U unit I bought only had the one issue that I have seen so far. You would think they would use a jig or something to make sure everything is aligned properly. Guess not. They need to QC these things better.Update: from terrible to…what’s worse than terrible?Received a second one (second two pictures) and it was worse than the first. The top corner of left rack ear was bent even though there was no damage to the shipping box. The frame the drawer sits in was bent inwards on both sides in order to get the drawer to fit into the the slides. Meaning, the drawer itself is too small because the frame fits into the rack decently. This in turn means the rack ears are angled inwards so the drawer can catch the slides and the drawer front partially blocks the bottom mounting holes. I removed the drawer from the frame to diagnose and it was EXTREMELY difficult to get it back in. And I have built many cabinets so I am not clueless about this stuff. When one slide is seated properly, the other slide has around a 3/16″ gap before it can be seated on the other side. Way to much! The drawer face of the second one is also off by about 1/8″ this time. Getting better…kinda?This is company has terrible or no QC at all. While emailing with them I asked why they don’t use jigs to make these drawers and they asked me what a jig was. Guy’s name I spoke to was Keith, but could just be a China super customer service rename. Anyway, save yourself a lot of time and hassle by not buying this garbage. Price is good for a reason. I am sending both drawers back and will keep searching or just build the extra deep drawer I really want anyway.

I have 2x of both the ones with and without the loop (4 total), and these are the most solid shelves I’ve tried of on the less expensive end of the spectrum. I tried a few others in the similar price range, and the metal was much thinner. Quite happy with these ones. Just wish I’d picked up a few more when it was $45 for a 2-pack… Regardless, when the time comes to get more of these, I’ll probably end up with more of these.Note: I would recommend against purchasing directly from the manufacturer, at least for single-quantity purchases. At least at the time I purchased one, they did not know how to properly package them – it arrived in a few layers of thin bubble wrap, inside a plastic bag. Obviously, both rack ears were damaged, and one of them was quite mangled. The 2-packs I ordered from Amazon came well-packed.
