I don’t know how they did this. I have only been suing this for a few days – but i love it – worth the extra money. The key will be how long will it hold up? So far everything about this solves a lot of issues. I have had traditional cables break – so far, so good.

Decent replacement for OEM cord, but not quite as nice as genuine article
This is a decent cord. It has an indicator LED and behaves the same as an Apple cord. Visually it is identical to the OEM cord, but you can tell when you handle it that it is after-market. It is a bit stiffer and tends to be more resistant to uncoiling vs the OEM cord. However, as a 2nd cord or inexpensive replacement, this is great.——————————How my star ratings work:* – Negative experience. Poor quality, serious design flaws, and doesn’t accomplish the stated description/goals. Not recommended.** – Low quality and design flaws limit usefulness. May partially accomplish the stated description/goals, but still not recommended.*** – Neutral. May be useful, but medium quality and design quirks limit its utility. Caution advised.**** – Positive. Good product. Good quality/design. Accomplishes the stated description/goals. I might buy again, but there might be better products. Recommended with caveats.***** – Very positive. Excellent product. Charging Cable – Works for MacBook Air
Got this cable to use as an extra charger for a MacBook Air. The cable is standard length and feels like a quality cable. Packaging of the product is what is to be expected from something “Made in China”. I have seen better packaging but this is adequate.As stated, the quality seems good and so far, the cable works. I do not see any difference in charge times using this cable or the one from Apple. Since it’s a magnetic connector, I think the cable should last.Based on the fact that this seems to work fine, I have no problem recommending this cable as a replacement or as I am using it as a second cable. Since it’s a USB C on the other end, charging time is going to depend on what power charger you connect the cable to.

Equal to Apple Cord for current Macs
Great cable for my new Mac. I have compared with the supplied charging cord from Apple and I can’t find a difference. I have charged it from the same starting point (my computer was at 50%) and using the same Apple charging cube. I did not experience any difference in charging time. My impression is that the magnet strength is a little less than my Apple supplied cord but that could only be my perception. I really have no way of testing that. But the quality of the material is identical to an Apple supplied cord. I would repurchase this product.

Good for charging an M3 MacBook Pro
Great replacement/extra cable for using the new MagSafe port to charge a MacBook. Well made and sturdy, with a fabric coating and the whole thing and there is a charging light on the MagSafe connector. It is stiff but not inflexible. Works like a charm.

Good Value, Not True 140W Charging
I’ve been using this magnetic USB-C charging cable with my MacBook Pro M1 (connected to an Anker Prime charger), and it consistently delivers between 84.2W and 86.2W at peak charge space on my battery. (The photo I posted that says 76.4 is as my battery is ranging closer to 75% charge.) That’s perfectly usable for most MacBook Pro users, but it falls short of the advertised 140W. This is a common issue with third-party magnetic cables—despite the high wattage claims, they typically top out closer to 85–90W due to limitations in magnetic connectors and PD protocol. True 140W charging requires USB PD 3.1, a certified 140W charger, and Apple’s official MagSafe 3 cable.That said, the cable itself is solid: the braided exterior feels good in-hand, flexible without being flimsy or stiff. The orange charging light works as expected; I haven’t seen it turn green yet, and it’s unclear if that function is supported. For general daily use, the performance is stable and reliable.Compared to other options like the YBSGO at $19.99 or UNITEK at $26.99, this cable holds up well for just $15. There are a few other budget picks in this range (like Ackno or RAAVEE), but the price-to-performance ratio here is still strong.Removing one star for the misleading 140W claim—it’s fine for typical charging needs, but the advertised number doesn’t reflect real-world performance. Just be aware of that if you’re expecting true full-speed PD 3.1 output.

Good Value, Works with M1 MacBook Pro
Solid cable for USB-C to Magsafe charging, and works with all of my M1 through M4 MacBooks and MacBook Pros. Magnet quality is good. It works just fine under gentle use, but i’ll keep an eye on this, since i’ve never had an OEM MagSafe charging cable that didn’t break and start working only in specific positions.
