What kind of the inverter is suitable for your appliances?

Please know that load is divided into resistive load and inductive load .If you need the inverter to run the resistive load (like laptop, TV, electric cooker ), please choose the inverter with continuous power higher than the appliance’s rated power. And it is best to use 80% of the rated power. If you use microwaves,water pumps, air conditioners and other appliances with motors or compressors ,please choose the inverter whose continuous power is 3-10 times higher than your appliances.

Five Woking Model:

1. AC/Line priority mode — always use ac power as priority input, provide ac output, and automatically charge the battery.

2. Battery priority mode — Priority should be given to battery power supply. After low voltage protection, the battery will be transferred to market power supply. When the battery is full, the battery will be transferred back to battery power.

3. ECO Mode—Load < 10% automatic sleep and stop output, load > 10% automatic boot back to normal inversion.

4. Generator mode — use unstable generator 120V to generate power, access the inverter AC input, through the inverter AVR regulator, automatic matching 50HZ/60HZ municipal frequency, output voltage regulator in the normal operating range.

5. Unattended Mode—When the battery is low voltage, the inverter goes into standby state(Power saving state). When the battery restores the voltage value set by yourself (such as solar charging), the inverter will restore the normal output of the inverter, and realize unattended full automatic operation!

    A Top Quality Inverter With Superior Features
    Update: My mistake from the previous update. There was a loose connection making it appear that the inverter was drawing too much current from the batteries. After solving the connection problem, the inverter is working perfectly as it has been for months. As long as you do not pull above 800 watts despite its 1200 watt rating, it should work well for any PV system.Update: This inverter must have a no load power draw of from 70-100 watts, a level that is unacceptable. My new LiFePo4 batteries will rest at 26.5 volts for my 24 volt system until I turn on this inverter. Suddenly the batteries dive to 24.7 volts just from the inverter with no load. I adjusted the settings with no luck. The fan runs all the time even with no load. Eco more is useless because it cycles power on and off ever few seconds. This inverter has serious design flaws unfortunately. The only good aspect is that it can handle 29.2 volts when charging.Original review:I have only run it for 24 hours. Reliability will only reveal itself after two years of use, but it has produced clean power with very low fan noise. I will be ordering another one as back-up. Of the many inverters I have purchased over the years, this one appears to be both the highest quality one, with the best features, at the best value.Most other inverters will shut down once the batteries exceed 28-29 volts. This one will stay on at 30 volts, more than sufficient to handle intense sunny days when batteries can hit 29 volts.

    Great features and works fantastic
    This review is for the HT-80112, the 800 Watt unit. I received it Oct 19, 2022 and was pleased to find that cables were included with the unit. I cut the positive cable and attached crimp lugs to each cut end, and inserted a 175 Amp fuse from O’Reilly’s. I also checked the output connector that I expected to be miswired after reading the other reviews. Mine is wired correctly.I initially found the menus a bit funky, but they actually work fine once you get the feel for them. I set my unit up for AGM, 20% charge rate, unattended mode with dropout at 11.5 V and restore at 12.5 V. I hoped to find that with input power disconnected the inverter would operate until the battery voltage dropped to 11.5 V, at which time the unit would wait for utility power to be restored. Note that as shipped, the dropout voltage is set for 10 volts. I tested the unit with my router, the fiberoptic internet interface, a security system, a microprocessor, and a 75 Watt incandescent bulb for loads. I used the old battery I took out of my pickup, so it only ran a couple of hours, but it worked exactly as desired. When I restored power the battery started charging and completed charge normally. Initial charge rate was around 13 Amps.I’ve pulled power several times and all the equipment stays online. This unit does exactly what I need and has an excellent price. All the connectors are quality and well placed. My one criticism is that the marketing is inadequate. It was unclear to me when I ordered the unit that I could set the dropout voltage, which is critical for unattended operation.I emailed the manufacturer twice before I received the unit and received responses each time within 24 hours. I tried unsuccessfully to find a manual for the unit on their website, but was sent one by the manufacturer. The FT series has manuals available for download, but it seems the website hasn’t been finished for the HT series yet.I next bought the UB121000 100AH battery from Amazon. I ended up setting the dropout voltage for 12.0 volts and using the Lithium Ion/Customize menu set the float voltage to 13.6 volts. The only time my battery will be under load is if the power goes off, and all I really need is either to ride through a power glitch, or have a clean shutdown and a clean startup when the utility power comes back online.I’ve attached photos of my inverter waveforms with my 35 Watt load attached. The inverter isn’t quite as pure as utility power, but it isn’t bad. One photo shows the transition from utility power to inverter, and the other shows the transition from inverter to utility. Inverter to utility looked identical in various captures. I only did the one capture of utility to inverter, which happened when I pulled the wall plug to the inverter. One nice thing is when you restore utility power the inverter waits a couple of seconds before it switches back to utility power, so the glitch you sometimes see when utility power is coming back online is masked.I initially thought I might use the unit to equalize an older flooded cell battery, so I set the float voltage to 15.5V. I never got a straight answer out of their tech support as to what the unit is actually capable of, but it isn’t 15.5 Volts, even though you can set it in the menu. I did see it maintain 14.7. The specs in the manual show DC input voltage: 10.5 to 15 volts.I discharged my UB121000 battery for 15 hours for a total of about 42 Amp Hours to around 12.23 volts. It was mostly recharged in about three hours, but I was still seeing around 100mA of charge current 24 hours later. This unit has all the features I need and works great. I couldn’t be happier with it.Oct 31, 2022

    Worked initially, developed problems later
    The Ampinvt 800 W pure sine inverter arrived daysahead of schedule and in seemingly perfect order.The model number is HT-80112.It came with battery cables, a pleasant surprise.It also came with a US-style IEC appliance cord, amore puzzling surprise.True to other reports, the hot and neutral are swappedon the internal receptable, which otherwise works fine.It’s easy to use the terminal block to bypass the faultyoutlet.The cooling fan is on all the time, but at a fairly lowspeed when the unit is just charging the battery andpassing AC straight through.The idling power draw in AC priority mode came out to about15 watts. Placed in ECO mode it couldn’t start up fast enoughto keep a Raspberry Pi 4 computer running when the AC wasdisconnected. In normal AC priority mode UPS operationseems perfect.It’s able to start a refrigerator with a 7.1 amp nameplatecurrent draw with three beeps worth of overload warning. Itsettled down to about 13% load. No odd noises or othertrouble signs. A Raspberry Pi4 and monitor powered at thesame time wasn’t detectably perturbed.A few experiments with an adjustable 1500 watt heat gunrevealed that near 50% load the battery cables startedto get hot. No damage, but a fair warning.On balance it seems a nice unit. If it lasts it’ll be a good buy.[update 20240414]When I purchased the second unit it displayed faulty behavior of thecharge indicator LED, continuing to flash even after the battery wasfully charged.My complaints to tech support were met by evasive and distractingreplies that made pointless requests and served only to delay progress.Eventually I gave up, since the crazy LED seemed harmless and the inverterworked ok otherwise.Now the charging LED has simply gone off and stayed off. The devicestill seems to work.Because of the very low price the inverter remains worth trying, butI’d urge purchasers to immediately test thoroughly any unit receivedand return it without hesitation for a refund in the first 30 days. Don’twait for tech support![added March 2, 2025]The second (faulty) inverter continued to operate even with thenon-functional charging LED, which simply remained off evenwhen charging the battery. However, the fact that the overloadbeeper occasionally sounded three beeps suggested the inverterwas slightly undersized for the job. A 1200 watt version of thesame inverter seems to work a bit better. It sometimes beepsonce on compressor startup, but not more. No other problemsso far. it came with 16 square millimeter battery cables, versusthe 10 mm square cables of the 800 watt version, and no IECcord, which was useless anyway.bob prohaska
