Good quality shielded cable
I got a 1 foot cable to use as a patch cable between my different network devices, while keeping them in the same general area. I picked these as the closest match to cables I got a long time ago, on sale. Cat 8, grey in color, and a similar but simpler boot. These are shielded, which is great for having a lot of electrical pieces in the same area. I am using cat 8 because it is not that much more money, and I will never reach the max speed of the cable any time soon. These are thicker, stiff cables, which has a nice strong feel to them, and seem like they will hold up a long time.

Seems to be as advertised. Connectors are good quality
They have a bit of heft to them, and look well constructed. The wrapping looks neat/smooth with no kinks or deformity. Connectors are installed securely and snap in with little play. I don’t have the hardware to test these cables to see if they are Cat8 spec or bandwidth, but have caused no issue at 1.5gb/s. Doesn’t drop connection.

Great cables with a caveat
High quality cables for sure and love it. Only issues is the green is not as pictured, they are actually teal (I don’t mind that I think it looks nicer.) The other issue is that they were delivered with some kind of yellow oily sticky substance all over them. Not sure at what point that happened but I’m taking a star for it because quality control.

Perfect Purple Cable
I can tell a difference in speed from the old semi-broken cable I had been using. I ordered the 5ft cable and from end tip to end tip it is exactly 5ft. This cable is a little thicker than the one I was using and much more stiff. I was able to bend it into the position I wanted though. The color is exactly as pictured which is the reason I selected this one over others on Amazon. The purple color matches the Roku purple which is what I’m using it for. Now I don’t have to guess or trace the cable to figure out which one is which. I paid $9 for the 5ft cable which seems to be a good price for the speed of the cable plus selection of color and length. If you are color coding your network or just want to match your ethernet cables to your devices for easy recognition then I would highly suggest purchasing one of these cables. The cable will ship in the plastic bag that it comes in (at least mine did) which really shouldn’t be a problem for sturdy cables such as this.

This was the LAST section of CAT8 that needed replacing from CAT6. Plus, I was using a wayyy-too-long 15 foot cable before replacing it with this new 1 foot cable. Now nice & tidy!

Very well made. Legit unlike some others who claim to be Cat 8. This is the real deal. The extra shielding provides better protection from interference can’t go wrong with extra protection. Kinda stiff though. However that’s to be expected with a thicker cable. Other than that I’m very pleased.
