Use shielded RJ45 connectors
I purchased the Cat 7 Outdoor Ethernet Cable for my rv to connect a starlink. The build quality is solid – thick, durable jacket that’s clearly designed to handle weather, UV, and general outdoor conditions.You’ll want to use shielded RJ45 connectors for the best performance. That ensures a proper ground and helps maintain the shielding benefits against interference. Once I used the correct connectors, everything clicked into place perfectly.

Solid ethernet cable
This is a nice cable. It’s flexible but feels well built. The metal jacks are really solid and confidence inspiring too. They secure with a reassuring click. I’m going to be using this outside for a camera – so the orange isn’t my favorite but it should make the cable easy to spot and avoid during yard work. We’ll see how well it handles the elements over time though but the build makes me think it’ll be fine so long as it doesn’t get damaged.Speed wise, this handles 1 Gbps easily. Probably more but I don’t need anything past 1 Gbps for a camera feed. Overall I’m pretty pleased. This is exactly what I thought it would be.

good cable for $
I can’t imagine this is true cat7 cable but the insulation is very nice. it’s a shame the wire is aluminum not copper and it’s smaller gage, but for the price, it works great. I also bought a cheap $20 tool kit to put ends on. pass through connection works easier for diy

It is a CAT 7 cable
As soon as it got to my home I crimped it with the CAT 7 RJ45 Connectors it gives. Unfortunately I onle have a 1Gigabit internet connection, I got my Simetric Gigabit connection, so it work at least in my case. In the future I’m going to upgrade my PC with a 2.5Gbps card and try it

High losses Won’t work for long cables.
Poor cable quality — high losses, worse than a standard CAT 6! Signal loss too high to allow a cable length of 190′, even though the standard is 100 meters — 328 feet!! 190′ Passes connector test, but losses to high for actual use.Not worth buying.Currently using a 100′ standard CAT6 cable (connectors I installed) for outdoor WI-FI antenna (AP LAN bridge), without a problem.wire size seems small — hard to crimp using pass thru connectors & achieve good connections. provided connectors work OK, but are not pass thru type & do not have crimp collars for making cable shield connection.

its rated for direct burial but we put it inside a pvc pipe as its 4 feet deep under a driveway,, its round not flat like a ribbon.Its not hooked up yet.
