    Great product
Great cable for the price. Extremely affordable and quality as advertised.

Reliable cable – good quality control
Did a network install for an Arena for a small private college with this Cat6 cable. It was easy to manage, pull and punch down. The only complaint I can think of is that it regularly got hung up inside the box – it would twist and then not pull smoothly out. It’s not a deal breaker – I was more interested in its ability to carry a signal and for those purposes, it worked great. Punching it down took a toll on my nails, but that happens, regardless of which cable you pick. It’s a good choice for install purposes.

I don’t understand why this has gotten so many low ratings.
I bought this despite all the negative reviews and I must admit this has got to be the best cable I’ve worked with. In the last two days I’ve already used up roughly 300 feet and have gotten none of the problems others have listed such as kinks. The cable comes out of the box perfectly, without getting stuck, kinked or tangled. I’ll admit, the wires are much more stiff than those I’ve worked with before however I find this much easier to work with as wires will stay where you put them before you put them into a connector. I’ve found no cons with this product what so ever, and plan on buying another box once this one runs out.

Cheap Cable but Potentially Worth It
I needed to pull some new Ethernet runs through my home, and I decided to buy my bulk cable from Amazon for a change. I came across this disturbingly cheap cable, and I decided to roll the dice on it. Most of the complaints were related to problems I’ve encountered with more than a few brands of cheap cable, but I have learned that most of them can be reliably worked around. In the case of the tangling and kinking cable, just keep the box oriented with the pull hole up and don’t go so fast; that usually prevents cheaper cables from behaving as badly. If you’re worried about the durability of a given run, just pull two at the same time; this is cheap enough that you should still come out ahead in terms of cost. Yes, it is CCA (copper clad aluminium), and that makes it somewhat more finicky to get a reliable crimp, but once it’s working, I have never had serious issues with the reliability of it over pure copper cabling. Just buy cheaper 8P8C connectors, ideally the lazy-man’s pass-through type, and pull enough to clip and re-terminate if it doesn’t test good the first time. I honestly would rather spend another thirty seconds replacing a cheap connector every so often than spend potentially twice as much on cable and connectors that work the first time slightly more often. All said, know that you are getting really cheap cable, but it still moves the packets at gigabit rates once it’s working. So, decide which you care more about, saving a lot of money or having slightly nicer cable.

    Good cables for the price
As a background, I am a network engineer and have spent a lot of time making cables. These are good cables, a little thin, but I’ve seen a lot worse. They are a lot easier to work with than CAT6 cabling and these should do anything you need in your own home. I used these to wire up a 3500sqft house by putting them in the ceiling and walls, terminating them in wall plates with keystones. They worked find and because they are easier to work with than CAT6 my weekend project didn’t take more than 1 weekend start to finish.

    No problems. Good cable.
I bought a box of this to try it despite a few of the reviews. I’ve had no problems with it whatsoever. It seems to me to be as flexible as the solid copper cable, and my box is not brittle as some other reviewers said it was. None of my runs have exceeded 150 feet, but I’m experiencing no packet loss whatsoever. I can’t speak to how this cable would work on 300 foot runs, but in my house it has worked perfectly. (By the way… I’m using it for an IP camera system with POE cameras.)

    Cat 5 wiring
I was really happy with this spool of cable, for the do it yourself-er it is a big help to have a quality product at an affordable price.

Rewired my home network. This cable allowed me to create low cost but reliable data ports in my home office. I even made a few patch cords along the way. This was much better and lower cost than buying 50 or 100 foot patch cords.
