How is this Yagi antenna “upgraded”?

Does it need to be pointed in a specific direction?
Yes. A Yagi antenna is directional, meaning it must be aimed toward the broadcast towers for optimal reception. Use a signal strength meter or the FCC map for guidance.
Will it work with multiple TVs?
Yes. Use a splitter connected directly after the antenna. If you experience signal loss when connecting 3 or more TVs, we recommend using a distribution amplifier in instead of a splitter to boost and evenly distribute the signal to every screen.
Is an amplifier needed?
An amplifier can improve signal strength if you have a long cable run (over 70 ft), are using a splitter for multiple TVs, or are in a weak signal area. This antenna works well both with and without an amplifier.
Is it weatherproof?
Yes. It is constructed with UV-resistant materials and is designed for long-term outdoor use.

I live in the Detroit area and it worked exactly as advertised
It came well, packaged and easy to assemble, if you ever assembled an antenna before you will always know that it is quite flimsy and delicate to assemble and install. I tried it out first inside my attic to see what kind of reception I could receive, and I was quite surprised. Everything came in crystal clear, no pixelating. we will see how it performs later on this year as it is early spring, and there are no leaves on the tree, but I believe it will work quite nicely nice product. I don’t see why anybody would have problems with it for me living in the Detroit area not that far from broadcast towers approximately 20 miles it works flawlessly. if it’s the first time you’ve used an antenna go online find the location of your broadcast towers. Use a compass set up the antenna in the proper direction. Use short coax. Keep your lines short, and it should work just fine. good luck. I am a generation that start it up with an antenna, I have gone through all the cable dishes, DIRECTV streaming, etc. I have come full circle. do you really want to spend all that money just to watch reruns of old movies, but most of the stuff you watch is over the air network stations. there are plenty of very nice easy to install DVR over the air unit check them out.

Great antenna, marginal coax
Works ready well and assemblies easily,.but the coax that comes with it is just OK. One end the F connection come right off. I replaced entire coax with different longer coax and got 4 more channels. Wish I bought a rotor with it!

I had to fix it
I ordered this, hoping it would be a nice antenna. Got it up. Wouldn’t even pick up a tower . 15 miles away. Started the return process. They’re sending out a new one. Scene video on youtube that they said these are. These are not. Very good antennas. A lot of them come from factory with problems. This does not have a signal booster or anything. So I took it apart. We soldered all the connections. Found that the connection were the coaxial cable attaches. Were broke on all four connections. I re soldered the coaxial Cable connection. on the circuit board. Also Re soldered. all resistors and capacitors. Added a piece of copper. Between antenna. Add connection for circuit board antenna. And antenna. And now it works fine. Quality of workmanship on everything was crap. Now it’s good. So I’ll keep this one because it. Because it works now. And I’ll send the other one back when it gets here. The replacement one, the. As I know this one works, and the workmanship is good, because I did it. Not some Chinese Moron. In a sweat shop. My suggestion to anyone looking at this antenna is, don’t buy it. Unless you’re prepared to take it apart and do what I did. Fix it so it will work right. Otherwise it’s a piece of junk. If you fix it like I did, it’s a good antenna. But the way it comes from the factory, it’s not. Don’t waste your money. And by the way, their 200 mile range is a bunch of BS. The curvature of the Earth will only allow a 70 mile range. On. Any antenna. Anyone that tells you more than 70 miles is lying to you. There is no such thing as a 4K antenna. Any antenna? Will pick up high definition? The 4KB S is just marketing crap. I think this company owes me about $40 for fixing this antenna.

Although it works ok for higher end vhf and uhf, will not get any channels in low vhf range!

Well worth it
I was skeptical, but it picks up channels that are hidden behind our mountain, and we have antennas south of us and north of us what I like about this is that it did not need to be amplified through an additional electric device. Other cheaper plastic, indoor outdoor antennas are far inferior to this product.

Honestly blown away. I’ve combined it with Televes 560483 amp and am pulling in 33 channels crystal clear. I am over 100kms away from the broadcast towers in rural settings and am in a valley! Channels are coming in all clear, no drop outs, no pixilation. I really thought I was going to get 4-5 channels at best, but this combo far surpassed any expectations.
