I’ve been using this little converter for my security cameras, and it’s been great! It’s super compact but handles both fiber and PoE perfectly. The build quality feels solid, and it runs quietly with no overheating. Setup was a breeze, and my cameras fired right up without any issues. The power options could be a bit picky, but once you get the right supply, it works smoothly. Definitely a keeper!

Works well, but is finicky about power supplies
This is a slick little media converter box. Add and SFP adapter, power, and ethernet cables and you have usable gigabit ethernet out with power over ethernet for two ports. Very slick! This box is much smaller than two similar POE + power supply adapters would be, and being all (or mostly) metal, it also gets rid of heat better as well.I plugged in two POE cameras and they both booted right up and started streaming video to an NVR on my network. As far as those cameras knew, they were directly plugged into a switch. This makes this box handy when you need to push devices out to the very extreme edges of a building or property, since you can run fiber much further than you can Cat 6 cable.The only issue I noticed was that the box had trouble with some different 12V and 24V power supplies I tried. It would work well with one, but trying a different brand or voltage and it wouldn’t even power up. It isn’t entirely clear which ones work and which ones don’t, so be prepared to do some testing to figure it out.
