No fuss one box RGB lighting solution.
When the no name controller went out on my 7 year old RGB light strip I needed a solution. Another RGB controller alone would have cost 2/3 of what this Kasa Smart Kit cost. So I decided to get it.. It took me ten minutes to set up, including trimming the strip to size, adhering it, and setting it up in the Kasa Smart app. No soldering. No extra connectors, wires, or power supplies to purchase. So very cost effective in my opinion. Everything needed is in one box. Even though the lights are only RGB the white color is very pleasing. The only criticism is that if you need very bright RGB lights these may not be bright enough. They are definitely bright enough for my purposes and I’m using them at 45 to 65% brightness. I’ve been using Kasa Smart products for a long time and they are every easy to use with Alexa and IFTT if that’s needed.

Functional and fun
Kasa is a surprisingly good app for smart home appliances. A little pricey for cheap rgb lights but for the added kasa functionality, its a great product. Adhesive will hold as long as theres no weight pulling down. Not super long size-wise but its enough for desk backlighting.

This was great LED. I wish it was a little bit brighter. It was unfortunate that they did not have connectors that you could buy so I had to purchase them through Amazon. Overall easy to attach very happy with it being integrated into the Kasa app.

Super easy to install, I mounted behind my tv on my mantle. I’ve got it connected to Alexa so I can easily control it. Lights are bright and can handle just about any color. The adhesive is plenty sticky enough for my purposes. I’m a fan

Nice lights/features for ambient light
I purchased 2 sets “Used – Like New” but 1 set had obviously been mounted and removed as it had torn paper stuck to the adhesive strip. I mounted the strips above my kitchen cabinets. I like the light effect, the dimming and the near infinite color choices. However, you have to set up a group in the app to get both sets to have the same color and the options aren’t as extensive as for a single strip. Also, if you use an effect in the app (like changing colors in a pulsing manner) the light strips aren’t in sync. Also, some of the colors like a warm white will show a little of the blue and green when bouncing light off of a white ceiling. Not bad but can be a little noticeable on some settings. Still, for the price and the Alexa integration it’s worth it.Now, if they would come up with a battery powered remote light switch that you could pair and then stick on the wall…

Absolute trash — Only Preset Effects Worked 🙁
If you love wasting time that you will never get back again then this set is for you. False advertisement there are not 16 million colors to choose! The set I received would not allow me to pick a customized color. When I chose a solid color, the set would go out completely. Only the presets worked and none of the presets allowed me to customize the colors and each preset has motion if you’re into that kind of thing — I’m not. If I attempted to adjust the color in the preset, the lights would go out completely. I personally I hate that the presets only have color shifting effects and not one with a solid color that doesn’t morph into another color but you can adjust the LED brightness. WiFi is in and out. At some point I attempted to remove the device and restart but couldn’t get the internet connection back to connect the lights to the app whatsoever for this set no matter what I tried. It kept circling to connect and never did. I should have gone with another brand. That’s unfortunate because this one drew me because it allowed me to adjust the brightness. Overall, if Amazon allows me to return this, I will. Worst Amazon purchase I have ever made and I’ve been buying on Amazon for decades. Horrible product that shouldn’t be sold. No wonder it’s ranked #50 in LED lighting sales.

The product arrived on time and well packaged. It looks and feels high quality. we installed behind our tv and we are in love with it. Works great and has a lot of light color choices, I’ve connected with Alexa and it’s works like a charm 🤭 Overall, this is a great product for the price. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a warm and cozy effect. The size was perfect for my 75 inch tv. I’m not lying when I tell you that about a year ago I invested almost $150 in a string of lights that promised to be amazing and ended up in the trash because I couldn’t program them.Hope this review was helpful 🤭

Came with an American plug, I assumed seeing as it was sold on Amazon Australia and came from Australia it would be an Australian plug, nowhere in the description did it say otherwise. Seller gave me $18 back for me to buy an adaptor! Shame America and Australia use different voltages!!!

Good brightness and easy to install. I am happy with the quality and would buy again! The app is a little off colour on the colour wheel, versus the actual light colour coming out of the LED but that’s easy to figure out. I also love that I run it from my Kasa app. I do wish it had a white LED but I knew it didn’t while buying it, and the white colour still looks fairly close.One piece to note: I ran it down my counter and had excess so ran some of it back in the other direction. I noticed when looking straight up at it that one side looked like a different colour than the other. At first I thought that I had kinked it on my corners, but after a bit of trouble shooting and testing, I realized it’s just an optic of how the LED’s look, and from the opposite direction you see the same affect.
