I needed this part after lightning struck a tree and traveled through the ground to blow out wiring & electronic controls for my tram car on rails to the lake from my house. The arrestor stopped the shock from going further and needed to be replaced.

Within a week of installing this we had the worst lightening storm I have ever been through. A tree was hit right behind my power pole. Another tree hit across the road and worse yet, my sisters house right next door burned to the ground because it was hit by lightening. I FIRMLY BELEIVE MY HOME IS STILL HERE BECAUSE OF THIS PRODUCT! If you have EVER seen a lightening storm and watched a loved ones home burn to the ground because of one, you would get this product! INVEST IN YOUR HOME. My sister has lost everything. Total failure
Had one installed by electrician in 2012 after a power surge which destroyed boiler , TV , air exchanger . Fast forward to July 2023 .Another power surge and it wrecked boiler and a TV , 2 Keurig coffee makers , micro wave . Absolutely useless never tripped the 20 amp breaker it wired to !
