【Easy fiber fault identification】- Easily identify any problems on your fiber optic installation. Bad connection, various breaks or new installation, use the Karvinger fiber optic pen to get rid of your worries. Visually locate the slightest defect when the vfl light passes through a constraint, macro-bend or even a cut in a fiber cable thus generating a light reflection.
【Don’t worry about batteries anymore】- Exclusively from Karvinger, a rechargeable battery system with 7 hours of autonomy to allow you to stop using batteries. The 40km vfl has a high performance, long life battery and charging status indicator. This battery can be replaced if needed by unscrewing the bottom of the tool. The visual fault locator can be recharged from a mains socket or a USB port (computer, car, external battery).
【Optimal performance】- The 50 power allows the slightest reflection of light to be seen over a distance of 25 miles making the tool suitable for any type of intervention. The battery recharges quickly and can emit light for 7 hours with two modes of operation: continuous or flashing. The aluminum structure makes the vfl shockproof and suitable for any terrain. The tester’s tip is SC, ST and FC compatible. The VFL tester comes with a FC to LC adapter.
【The best choice for your interventions】- The Karvinger fiber optic pen is sold with a protective carbon fiber case that will protect the VFL device against drops and shocks as well as an adjustable wrist strap to prevent accidental damage. The light outlet is covered with a dust cap and an instruction manual is provided. Finally, a charging USB-C cable is included to allow you to use the vfl as soon as possible after receiving it.

Great tool for fiber optic trouble shooting
We have been using this VFL for awhile couple weeks.Rechargeable is awesome. The light is very very bright. You can see the light outdoors easily. We could even see the light shining out of the fiber on the ground from a ways away.

Missing battery level indicator
Amazing tool, super bright light makes it easy to spot, only thing it’s missing is a battery level indicator to let you know it needs to get charged. Laser turned off on me mid install and I had to let it charge a bit before finishing my install

Not working properly label send thank you
Good evening, honey. I am trying to work this out and it’s not working properly. There’s any way that you could send me a label that we could send me another one it’s not working properly thank you.

Nothing special
Nice bright optical light, but the battery stopped working for me in the middle of a job, even after fully charging it. Thought the rechargeable battery would be a game changer. It definitely isn’t. These things are pretty durable, but this one is nothing special. I can slightly twist the heads on the ones I already own to save battery life (while carrying on me). This one is impossible to do that to – battery contact remains, while slowly draining power. It’s OK, cheaper ones are just as good, if not better. I don’t wanna have a ‘light sender’ that needs to stay charging. Also, it’s way too expensive….

Strong and inexpensive. Easy to locate, even through a splitter.

Works for us
My husband added this to his networking toolbox. As the primary networking person for our home and a couple rental properties in the area, these tools are vital to be able to test and reoutfit the places when needed. Some of the crews that setup in the area treat these cables like trash, so it’s important to test each cable to ensure that they are setup correctly and that there are no breaks along the way. The light works for the smaller projects that he works on, so I’ve got no complaints about it. The price was not awful for the tool received.
