Great for dictating while wandering around the house
I dictate a massive amount of my notes throughout the week, and I tend to do my best thinking while pacing, so switching to a wireless lavalier was mostly about giving myself the freedom to move without dealing with cables.This system from Pyle just plugs into the USB-C port on my phone or laptop and works instantly with the same recording apps I always use. I didn’t have to sync or set anything up at all, and was able to jump right into recording my notes.The audio quality is very clear, and it does a great job isolating my voice from the ambient noise around me, which definitely helps when I later have to transcribe everything.It has a bit of a broadcast quality sound. It’s not too boomy, but the lows are a bit pronounced, which does kind of help my voice from sounding too thin or harsh. For dictating voice notes, it’s more than good enough.The range is good too. I’ve been able to walk around my entire house without losing the connection.Battery life is about as expected. I get a few days of recording out of a single charge, recording a couple of hours a day, and it charges back up really quickly, so it’s basically always ready to go.The magnetic clip has a really strong hold, and it’s convenient having the ability to quickly detach the mic when I need to.The charging case works great too, and makes a really convenient carrying case.All in all, a great setup for capturing my notes. It’s simple to use, reliable, and pretty much a bargain.
