Excellent Security System for Peace of Mind! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The REOLINK security camera system has been an amazing addition to our home. The video quality is very clear, both during the day and at night, and the motion detection works accurately without too many false alerts. Installation was straightforward, and the app makes it easy to check live footage from anywhere. I also like that the system stores recordings safely and lets me review them anytime. It feels reliable and gives me peace of mind knowing my home is always protected. Highly recommend!

    REOLINK rocks
Ive purchased other cameras, but after using the REOLINK, I think I have finally found a camera that has everything I have been looking for. The camera captures a good video, is easy to use, and overall seems to function as designed. I like that the solar panel means I do not have to worry about replacing or changing a battery. One of the best features is that this camera is NOT dependent on wifi. I have a large property and can place REOLINK cameras anywhere on my property and they work. Great quality.

Reolink 3G-4G LTE PTZ Outdoor Solar powered
This review is for the Reolink 3G/4G LTE Outdoor PTZ Solar powered camera. On my quest to have a camera at the end of my REALLY long driveway with no WIFI access I bought this. Upon opening the box the camera feels a bit flimsy, especially the mount. I purchased the T-Mobile nano card and got it home and setup was quite easy. That being said take note that other reviews state it has to be prepaid T-Mobile or ATT through cricket, mint or freedom pop. NOT CORRECT. After having no service at the end of my driveway with the T-Mobile I took myself down to the ATT store where I simply told them what I needed and they got me a nano prepaid card which worked with the device. Got home and had signal at the end of my driveway. Mounted it to a tree 7 feet up and waited.Set to 1080P, or what the device calls “clear” and motion high. It began to pick up events and push notifications to the app on my phone, however I would only be able to view roughly 3 out of every 10 alerts. The app would either tell me “playback failed” or would just stop playback and not play anything even though the device had full LTE 4G coverage. It also says in the app that the clip length can be changed to 30 seconds. After looking high and low in the app I never found this option. I then formatted the onboard Lexar16G SD card (WHICH THE DEVICE COMES WITH) and tried again. Same results. I then switched to a high end 16G San disk SD card and got the same results. Due the price of this unit I expected more. Will be returning today. I had no chance to test the solar charger of this device so I cannot comment on that. If you purchase this device I would thoroughly test it before the return date expires.

Good security camera for remote locations
I purchased this camera to place at the end of my driveway where I do not get WiFi. I have a long driveway with a gate at the end, but that doesn’t stop people from sometimes finding themselves on my property without permission. I wanted this camera to primarily catch trespassers and give me a heads up. After having it up a few weeks, here are my thoughts. First, I should mention that this camera does not work with Verizon. I bought a FreedomPop prepaid card which allows up to 1G a month of data ($65 for 12 months). So far, the camera has used about half that data a month so you should be good with something similar, unless you have AT&T and if that’s the case just hook it up to your existing plan. I like that this camera is independently sufficient. You put your SD card and SIM card in, plug up the solar panel, and no worries. I have my camera at the edge of a tree line that gets about 5 hours of sun. So far, the battery stays between 97-100%. I also like that it has two way audio and I can even sound an alarm if necessary. I rather not do that but in the event I’m not home, maybe it would scare someone off. Pan and Tilt operation is great but does have a very slight lag but that’s because it is working off a cell tower. Also, I live in a very rural area and cell reception is poor. However, the camera consistently has 4bars of 4G. Night vision is ok, but could be better. Camera only records when it detects motion and doesn’t record 24/7 but you can check in on the app and it will come on. Only cons I have are that it comes in the color white and the mounting bracket for the camera is plastic. My camera is placed about 8 foot high on a tree and so white was a turn off for me. So, I painted it camouflage. As to the camera mount being plastic, if someone were to hit it with a stick or something similar, the mount would likely break and there goes your camera to a thief. Which also brings up the con that the playback video is saved to the SD card on the camera, not a cloud. So, if someone steals your camera or turns it off, you can’t see the video of what happened. Therefore, mount your camera high and try to hide it if possible. I made a small wood cover with sides to help protect it from such instances. Conclusion: it’s a good buy and I would recommend it, especially if you have plan on placing it somewhere remote.

    Works way better than expected
I have lots of cameras in my home system, so I had a quality bar that I did not expect from this one because instead of running hardwired over ethernet – this uses a 4G network. However, I am pleasantly surprised about how well it works.Setup was easy – you have to got get a SIM card 1st. You cannot do anything without it. I got a pre-paid Tmobile card and everything worked right away.Picture quality is good. The motion detection is pretty good. I strongly recommend you also put a memory chip in it, that way it stores what is happening until you have time to check it out.The PTZ is “ok”. If it had preset view points – it would be great. The solar charging is great. It has been running solid and battery is alway saying 100%.The microphone/speaker works – which was a real shock to me. I am able to talk to someone there at the site and we each understand each other. There is a delay – but it is workable.Only reservation is I have had it only a couple of months. Will have to update the review to see how it holds up over time.

Easy set up and works great. Only issue was getting a SIM and cellular plan as no WiFi at site. Only company that could help us was Bell so hopefully all goes well.

Camera stopped working in the cold winter, used for about 2 Weeks before the battery died and wouldn’t charge the battery in time for the night use. Waste of money and not made for canadian winters.

I have four of these now scattered around my property & one of their latest models. I’ve had one fail after several months out in the weather, 3 days straight of rain and ants getting into it. I suspect they may have eaten a seal & let water in or chewed other components. After attempting to troubleshoot it via email with Reolink and sending them a video, they replaced it without further hassle. The rest have been working without issue (some for about two years). One of the benefits of these particular cameras is that you can replace the standard antennas. We have very poor mobile coverage so I’ve replaced the antennas with others I can mount higher up without having to raise the camera and this has made the SMS notifications more reliable. The video quality is great even at night and the infrared lights give quite a bit better illumination than others I’ve tried. There is quite a bit of customization you can use in the settings & they are quite good at distinguishing between animals, people and vehicles which is useful if you don’t want to get alerts for everything (you can specify which will trigger an alert). I don’t always get audio when live streaming but I think that has more to do with the poor phone coverage and I would prefer to have no audio than no video. The audio is always recorded on the sd card in the camera and can be downloaded to your phone/tablet and/or their cloud service.

Easy to install and works really well. Covers our driveway

Reolink confirmed with me that this model cannot reliably wake itself from sleep. Once it sleeps, it can become unreachable until manually reactivated via the app. That is not a malfunction — it’s a design limitation. For a cellular security camera, especially one marketed for remote use, this makes it effectively useless. A security camera that cannot activate itself cannot provide security.I bought this specifically to protect a remote off-grid property. After extensive troubleshooting and many emails, support did not resolve the issue and repeatedly ignored key details, instead suggesting I switch to entirely different camera types that are unsuitable for off-grid locations. This product should not be sold as a security camera. At best, it’s a manually operated viewing device.Amazon ultimately issued the refund. Reolink did not resolve the problem just deflecting and ignoring my requests. If you need a camera that:- works unattended- reconnects on its ownor – protects remote propertyAvoid this product. Avoid this company.
