The best smart strip
I have multiple of these. They work great. I mainly use them for scheduling and auto shutting off things like TVs and lights. The setup is super easy in there app. And the scheduling and timer are also very easy to set. You can also rename all the plugs and the area and “Home/location” very easily to organize if you have multiple outlets. There is also a favorites section that you can stick your most used plugs into to make it easier to find if you have a lot of plugs. The price is a little more than normal power strips with surge protection. But to get the smart features it’s more than worth it and I think a good value. It’s also Alexa and Google Home compatible.I recommend getting the strip versus the individual plugs because it’s more economical and always better to have more outlets than less.

Easy Connection to WiFi
This power strip is perfect for my Christmas decorations that go on and off at different times. I previously used 3 separate smart plugs and needed extension cords to have everything come on or go off when desired. Since each outlet is individually programmable, I use the strip and have a much neater installation. The kasa plugs were very simple to connect to my wi-fi network and I had everything done in under 30 minutes. I highly recommend if you’ve got 3 adjacent lines that need to be programmed separately.

Requires some understanding of how this device communicates with routers and networks.
I definitely ran into some problems with setting upthis strip, but there is a happy ending due to the help I got from Karen at TP link tech support. The simple instructions that came with the strip were not enough. The issue was that the strip needs 2.4ghz and though my router broadcasts both 5ghz and 2.4ghz via steering, the strip couldn’t communicate with the router. On-line threads told me to set up two separate SSIDs, Xfinity said this was not advisable, and the guy at the Xfinity store said it was the only thing that would work. I called Kasa/TP link support and Karen walked me through exactly how to do it, using the TP-link network (not my Wi-Fi network) to set it up. So, it works great and Karen was exceptional tech support. Happy ending, lots of wasted time and frustration beforehand though; not the device’s fault, more the incomplete instructions.

Perfect remote power cord
Love these! Have several. Easy & fast to set up. Phone app is easy to set up & control remotely. Adapts to Alexa easy as well. Can be set up on a schedule. Lasts for years. Only negative is – occasionally after a long power outage it may require a re-connection, but thankfully it’s easy.

Works well … nearly all of the time
This smart power strip continues to do what it’s advertised to do … 99.9% of the time. That 0.1% is the problem, but I’ll get to that.It worked out of the box using the instructions provided. I downloaded the Kasa Smart app onto my phone, and after setup I was able to name and control the power strip’s three outlets (I got the version with three outlets) independently, or combine two or all of them together into a group and control them at the same time. I can also control them with Google Home. It’s advertised as also being compatible with Alexa, but I don’t have anything with Alexa, so I can’t test that firsthand. Each outlet also has a toggle button that allows the user to switch that outlet on or off manually, and each button has an LED that shows whether the outlet is currently supplying power to whatever’s plugged into it. This is a bigger deal than one might think at first. Imagine a desk lamp with a chain that can be pulled to turn it on or off, but you can’t tell by just looking at it whether that pull-chain switch is on or off. Now imagine that you plug it into this power strip and it doesn’t light up. Where’s the problem – is the light bulb burned out? Is the lamp turned off? Is the power strip’s outlet off? Well, I can eliminate the third question by just looking at this power strip and making sure that the outlet is on, so one pull of the lamp’s chain will tell me whether the light bulb is burned out or not.The thing is, occasionally the power strip will just suddenly stop responding to the network. I don’t know what causes this, but it will suddenly and silently disconnect; its power light and connection light will say that it’s powered and connected to wi-fi, but the app says it can’t contact the device. I can still manually toggle the outlets on and off with the buttons, but I can’t control it with the app, or Google Home, etc. I can unplug the device and plug it back in, resetting it, and things work again. But I never know when it’s going to glitch again, and that unreliability is what gives this device four stars instead of five for me. It doesn’t happen every day – it’s been weeks since the last time it happened, in fact – but not knowing what caused it or when it’s going to happen again adds just enough uncertainty that I can’t quite trust it. I’m not going to plug anything into it that might be disastrous if it couldn’t be controlled.Very well designed other than that shadow of unreliability.

Easy setup
I was just needing a power strip for the garage work bench. I thought why not give this a try being that I already was using KASA smart switches in the house anyways. Easy Alexa setup. The ability to turn off individually power outlets, make them, put the outlets on a on/off schedule via Alexa really turned out to be a genius use of the power strip in the workshop. Shop fan can just be switched on and off with s command or timer. Battery chargers can be turned on/off while sitting in the charger with a command so they are ready when you want them fully charged. Setup was very simple. Renaming the individual plugs so Alexa can easily recognize what to address was not a concept I had imagined until I started the process of how to deploy and use the smart power strip. I ordered another one for another part of the shop that we store our e bikes in. No more trying to remember to unplug. Now I’ll just tell Alexa to turn off Plug 1 in 6 hours and I’m done. Lots of applications in the shop. 5 stars.

I’ve been using the Kasa Smart Plug Power Strip KP303 for a while now, and it’s become one of the most practical additions to my home setup. I originally bought it because I needed something that could handle multiple devices at once without adding clutter, and this power strip fit the bill perfectly. With three individually controlled smart outlets and two always‑on USB ports, it gives me plenty of flexibility for small appliances, chargers, and random gadgets that always seem to accumulate around the house. The first place I tested it was behind my work desk, which usually turns into a tangle of chargers and adapters. Being able to control each outlet separately through the Kasa app has been a huge convenience. For example, I can shut off my desk lamp and monitor automatically when I’m done for the day, while leaving my phone and smartwatch charging through the USB ports. The USB ports stay on all the time, so I don’t have to think about toggling them.I later moved it to the living room to manage a few devices on a side table: a lamp, a small diffuser, and a Wi‑Fi photo frame. With voice control through Alexa, I can turn each device on or off without getting up, which is especially nice when I’m carrying things or multitasking. The ability to schedule each outlet independently is handy too—my lamp turns on automatically in the evening, while the diffuser runs on a short timer so I don’t accidentally leave it running all day. What impressed me most, though, is the built‑in surge protection. It gives me peace of mind when plugging in electronics that I don’t want fried by random power fluctuations. The power strip feels solid and well‑built, and it tucks neatly against the wall without taking up too much space.Remote control through the app has also been great. When I’m away, I can still turn items on and off or check whether I accidentally left something running. And with my busy schedule, automating some of the smaller daily routines has made things feel more streamlined.Overall Opinion:The KP303 is reliable, flexible, and surprisingly useful for both home and workspaces. The individually controlled outlets, USB ports, surge protection, and easy voice/app control make it a smart, practical upgrade for anyone wanting to simplify their setup and add some automation without overcomplicating things. It’s one of those products that quietly makes everyday tasks easier.
