Fits Eluktronics Laptop
I was looking for a “travel” charger so that I didn’t have to unplug and detangle my orginal power supply every time I leave for several hours, and this is the best I could find. It fits the specs for an Eluktronics Laptop power supply perfectly (19.5V,11.8A, 230W) and a 5.5mm tip. It is the same width and length (6″ x 3″) and only a quarter inch thicker (1-5/16 vs 1-1/16) than the original, so I’ll use this one for my workstation and the original for travel. And it was only $56 vs an OEM replacement for $100.Works fine for now, and doesn’t get very warm at all. Since I’m using it full time, I’ll know how good it is within weeks/months.

Essential for MSI Gaming Laptop
My MSI gaming laptop is a couple years old now, so the battery doesn’t quite hold up like it used to. I was only able to play AAA games for about 10 minutes before the battery would discharge completely, even while plugged into the original 150w power supply. This 230w power supply keeps the games going and the battery topped up. The included adapters allowed me to be able to use this product with no issue.

Terrible replacement battery for GS76
The factory charger that came along with my MSI GS76 shorted out after 2 years of heavy use.As for how good this product is in terms of longevity, I cannot say, however it’s working perfectly as a replacement providing a strong and stable charging connection.It comes with 2 extra dongles that accommodate for different port sizes.EDIT:Charger started to overheat after a weeks use and started to emit a burnt plastic smell and disconnects frequently.I don’t recommend this product anymore.EDIT 2:LEAKING FLUID.

charging inconsistent due to constantly adjusting the cords to stay in place
the cable that plugs from the charging box into the wall, does not fit into the box well. it does not connect properly causing the laptop to stop charging. you cannot fit the plug all the way in and sometimes you have to jiggle it around multiple times to start it. after a few hours of charging, i noticed it randomly stopped charging because i had moved my cord on my desk over about one inch. so while this product does in fact charge my MSIGS66 stealth, it is inconsistent and i don’t even believe i received the right product. label has different info than what is shown, the power cable for the wall is not nearly as long as advertised and like i already stated, it does not fit in to the charging box well at all. it is so tight i have to use all of my strength to push it in enough to start charging process. i should not have to worry about my power supply turning off while I’m using the laptop. I am constantly checking to make sure it’s still plugged in and charging. if i wanted to do that, i would’ve saved myself 50 bucks and kept waste my time messing with my original charger that doesn’t work well.

I’m using this as a backup power supply. Now, I can keep the original secured to my desk and have an option for one on the go. This is particularly useful for these MSI laptops since their battery life is generally under an hour when using it for graphics and animation production.

Nice charger, no nonsense plug and play charger for larger more power hungry notebooks.This will power a 17 inch power hungry gaming notebook all day long with no issues.If the one that came with your notebook is fried this is a good replacement.If you are new to electricity and or replacing a high power notebook charger here are some important and simple safety tips. These will make your equipment last longer and prevent it from getting fried. Always make sure the plug is secure and the polarity is correct, where center positive or negative matches. Some notebooks have the ability to either use dual polarity, or a protection feature. Ones that do not can get fried instantly meaning expensive repairs or worse. If polarity is unknown, do not risk it, a voltage multimeter is ~20 bucks on Amazon and very worth it.All quality power supplies should list this on the data sticker found on the power brick itself. This also has important information about power specs. There is a simple rule of thumb to follow for matching power supplies like this. There are three ratings voltage, amperage and watts. Voltage must never be much higher (1-2% tops to be safe) than the device has listed or it will fry. Lower voltage may not be good either as it can stress components. For amperage and watts these can be higher than what the device needs as long as the voltage is correct. Watts and amperes should not be lower than the device needs because it can stress the device and the power supply. This is a very basic explanation for typical regular use. Also keeping your power brick as cool as possible will extend its life. This is why gaming chargers often fail; too much heat works it too hard. If it is uncomfortable/too hot to touch that is where significant lifespan shortening will typically start. The hotter it is the faster it will fail. If you would like to learn how to fry electronics take up overclocking as a hobby.Protip: A second power supply is a good spare, and can be kept around the house where you like to use your notebook, to save form having to carry the brick around. This also preserves battery longevity on these large notebooks by using charger power as much as possible. Hopefully these pointers help save people some money:)

The DONGERDI 230W MSi laptop charger was acquired to replace the one I currently have with my GS66 as the cat decided to have a nibble on it.The charger is built well and is as heavy as the OEM one it is meant to replace. The cord length is about 10 feet from end to end with 6 of the feet being the power block to laptop section.The block charges the laptop with the normal rate, voltage and current that the original did and I encountered no issues with using it. There is over current, over voltage and short circuit protection built in to the charger like the OEM.Under full load the charger does get a bit warm however so did the original and by touch they feel the same for temperature when heavily utilized.Another nice feature is the 12 month warranty that is included so you know if the charger fails you can get a replacement which many manufacturers give less on charging accessories.Overall this is a great quality product and value packed as it is far more affordable then the OEM equivalent.

I bought the charger to work with my Gigabyte 16 XE5 as a back up/travel power supply as the reviews were pretty good. It does charge the unit, however due to lower quality internals whenever the laptop is plugged in and you have headphones plugged in a very bad audio distortion can be heard. Switching back to the OEM Chicony charger and problem solved. My laptop is used for video editing and clean sound is a must. Conclusion is buy a new or used OEM charger and save yourself the literal headache. I returned my charger.
