Glitchy NVR system
I have communicated with tech support with the many issues encountered with the NVR. I was always given an excuse why the anomaly is occuring. Bottom line the random access memory RAM in the NVR is not capable of keeping up with normal functions. What do you mean? When I double click on one of the feeds and it is displaying the single feed it will not allow me to go back to the regular feeds. It takes it a while for the ram to catch up and allow this function to work, Another issue is the NVR dropping feeds from the screen. Some of the feeds randomly pixelating and distorting the feed until unrecognizable. It finally clears up only for one of the other feeds to do the same. Sometimes multiple feeds are pixelating at the same time. For what the NVR boasts about its features and functionality it has way to many disadvantages to offset the bad. I will be returning this NVR if I cannot get a resolution.

good if you want the basics
So hardware wise its not bad no storage, since it did not come with any drives but adding a new drive is not hard overall. However, I do find that its software is beyond outdated and the GUI had a bad design. The actual processing board of this unit is micro-sized and its more advanced features are severely lacking compared to even some open source software. Its not bad for a beginner.

Wires rub on sheet metal chassis
The wires on the connector that goes to the front panel are pressed against a stamped cutout in the sheet metal for the chassis. I used a tweezes to get a piece of electrical tape under the wires to prevent them from wearing through and shorting. This is extra crazy because 50% of the enclosure is empty, there’s no shortage of space for cable routing. This is just lousy engineering.

Had to replace my old low-end Amcrest NVR and bought this several months ago.Issues are too numerous to list. Set it up today but way past the return window. Network interface is unstable. It’s an expensive paperweight.I’m going to reconnect all the cameras up to my QNAP router and run it all through the surveillance app. That worked before.I
