Solid Heavy-Duty Crimper, Minor Release Lever Issue
This ratcheting crimping tool has worked very well for non-insulated open barrel terminals. The crimps come out clean, tight, and consistent, and it feels like a genuinely heavy-duty tool rather than something flimsy. The ratcheting mechanism helps apply the right pressure, and the AWG markings make it easy to pick the correct slot. I also like that the jaws are replaceable, which adds long-term value. My only small complaint is the quick-release lever. With thicker fingers, it’s a bit hard to reach and I sometimes need a small screwdriver to release it easily.Pros: Strong build, excellent crimps, clear sizing, replaceable jawsCons: Release lever is awkward to access

Very well made
$19.99 when ordered. $19.99 now.I had to dig through my apartment and supplies to find something to actually be able to test this on. I have been collecting tools when they become available so that I have them and I thought this would be something good to have just in case. I was only able to test it once and it did work. So I was really pleased with that. What I like about it is that not only is it comfortable and the handles are comfortable and give you a nice grip with the texture that is on them, but it has this Rhapsody ability that makes it really easy to use. I find the way that the teeth fit together is nice and snug. It doesn’t kink up or indent in the wrong way. I especially like that because it has this automatic ratcheting system that will hold in place or release if you move it so far that it makes it a lot easier to line things up. Which is time saving if your clutsy or if your fingers are not that nimble. I really like the look of it and the way that it has each little section marked so in case you don’t know what you’re looking at you can just look on the tool itself and see. It feels like it will be very durable. It’s got a nice heft to it. The rivets are clean. It seems like it’s exceptionally well made. I am excited to be adding it to my tools.I don’t have a ton of hand tools in this line of tool, but I do have multiple jewelry crimpers, and I really wish that they were made like this. I’m very impressed with this. It even has a little area where you can unscrew it slightly and tighten or loosen how it does ratchet up. It appears to be a really well thought out tool, and I am very happy with it. I also really like how it appears to have screws where you can change out the crimpers themselves if you need to. And that’s very thoughtful and means less waste, so that makes me happy as well. Yeah, I’m very impressed with this.

Smooth Ratcheting Action and Consistent Crimps
This crimping tool turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Based on the price, I expected something decent, but when it arrived, it honestly felt nicer than anticipated. I’ve used a mix of crimpers over the years, mostly non ratcheting hand crimp tools, so this was a bit of a step up in terms of ease and consistency. The ratcheting mechanism is smooth and works exactly as it should. Once you start a crimp, it guides you through the full motion and releases cleanly at the end. The handle material does feel a little cheaper compared to some of my higher end tools, but that’s a minor point and more noticeable only because I’m comparing it to tools that cost quite a bit more. In actual use, it doesn’t really matter.Where this tool really shines is the quality of the crimps. Instead of just indenting the connector like basic hand crimpers, this one presses evenly from all sides, creating a solid, professional looking crimp every time. I’ve used it on heat shrink connectors and the results have been consistent and secure. One feature I didn’t fully appreciate until using it is the ratcheting action itself. Being able to set the connector in place and give it a partial squeeze so it holds everything steady is incredibly helpful, especially when working in tight or awkward spaces where you don’t have a free hand.Overall, this is a really capable crimping tool at a nice price point. It performs far better than I expected and has already made wiring jobs easier and more reliable. I’m very happy to have added it to my tool collection.

⭐⭐⭐⭐½ Solid crimper with professional results at a great price
This ratcheting crimping tool does a very good job with insulated connectors. The ratchet mechanism is smooth and consistent, which makes it easy to get clean, repeatable crimps without guessing pressure. It grips the terminals well and produces tight, secure connections that don’t pull off once crimped. The handles are comfortable and provide good leverage, even when working with larger gauge wire. It feels well-built for the price and is far better than basic non-ratcheting crimpers you find in cheap kits. For home projects, automotive wiring, or light professional use, it gets the job done reliably. The only minor downside is that the size-specific markings could be a bit clearer, and it takes a few crimps to get used to the feel of the ratchet release. Once you do, it’s very straightforward to use.
