Starlink OK
Used to suppress my Starlink cable upon entering the house. Did not affect speeds.

Works with PoE and 300ft Ethernet cables.
I tested to see if it could still power a device after 300 ft PoE run and it does. These are a bit more expensive than other brands but the 2 pack helps.

Excellent Quality Ethernet Surge Protectors
If you use Poe for any outdoor router or access point then this is a definite need. These are heavy duty and made to last and most of all provide good solid protection from power surges and lightning strikes to protect your equipment. This is 2 pack and I have it protecting 2 access points. The speeds are spot on and the install in just a few minutes. They connect to a standard Ethernet cable and they function exactly as there intended. No drops in speeds either just good quality stable and well protected connections. These can really be mounted anywhere there not overly huge but have some weight to them which is a good thing. This will do POE++ . I have mine connected to my Poe switch with this in the middle and then hooked into my access point. The grounding wire is fairly long just make sure you have the grounding wire well connected and grounded safely. Overall excellent way to protect your outdoor networking equipment and it does everything I need it to do and have a sound piece of mind with these in place.

Added my own labels
This insert is unhelpfully labelled, but seems to work. I did try it with a PoE device and it powered right up. I took a marker and just labelled the ports in a way that made more sense to me at the time (“Device” and “Switch” 🤷) although I guess thinking of “Out” as “for OUTdoors” might be an even better mnemonic. Regardless the guide book (and this product listing) explains it I just wanted a little extra reminder in the likely event I can’t find the booklet back. It’s fairly bulky device but I guess needs to handle 8 or at least 4 pins. I didn’t take this apart to see how it’s wired yet but maybe should before it ends up getting really tested some day.

bad
Flimsy feeling and confusing to mount

Easy protection
We’ll see how this works long term in the thunderstorm country. So far so good. I like that this is wall mountable though it didn’t appear to come with any mounting hardware. Everything is attached out of the box so their really is nothing to this except to plug in your ethernet and connect the ground wire to your ground. It does seem to work well. I’ve been able to test with one IP camera with the device connected inline at the switch. The camera still works well. Now, I just need a lightening strike for a true test. Hopefully, I don’t have to update this post because I don’t want a lightening strike. By the way, had one already which is why I’m interested in these devices. Lightening will fry your switch and equipment and sometimes travel beyond causing weird issues over time. Good to know I’m protected now.

Well Built Surge Protectors
This two pack of Ethernet surge arresters has a clean, professional look and a compact size that’s easy to work with, and there’s no assembly required beyond simple installation. The build quality is solid and well constructed, with clear labeling and instructions that make setup straightforward. They work exactly as intended, providing reliable protection without affecting network speed, and heat output stays minimal during use. The color and finish look good, nothing feels flimsy, and the overall quality inspires confidence when protecting routers or other direct connect devices. For value for money, these are an excellent choice, effective, easy to install, and dependable for safeguarding your equipment.

Protecting my PoE switch and router from surges and power spikes.
I added this inline between my PoE switch and router after my previous PoE switch was taken out by a power outage. This is more of a preventative install. Setup was straightforward and the IN/OUT markings make it hard to mess up. It feels solid and well built, and the aluminum housing definitely seems like it can handle heat and long term use without issue. So far everything is working exactly as it should. PoE passes through with no problems and I haven’t noticed any drop in performance or connectivity. I’m hoping this helps protect the switch and router from future surges and spikes and saves me from having to replace more network gear down the road. Time will tell, but it gives some peace of mind knowing there’s an extra layer of protection in place.
