OS2 Single Mode LC to LC Fibe Patch Cable 9/125μm Duplex LSZH

ADVANTAGES:

Plug and play cables save time in the field since there is no onsite termination necessary.

The 9/125μm OS2 lc to lc singlemode bend insensitive fiber optic cable is less attenuation when bent or twisted and this will make the installation and maintenance of the fiber optic cables more efficient.

It’s a long term, cost effective solution to securely transmit data requiring high transfer rates.

APPLICATIONS:

Computer Networking – Transfers data at a higher rate of speed.

Military and Defense – Transmits data signals more clearly.

Telecommunications – Carries data to internet, cable TV and phone subscribers at greater bandwidths.

FLYPROFiber fiber optic cables are compatible with all makes and models of switches, routers, enclosures, patch panels, media converters, SFP modules and other network components.

  1. Greg

    They seem well made.
They seem well made. They are cross-over cables, but the clips allow swapping the fibers to straight-through.

  2. Terry Tebo

Good product at a great price!
These single mode fiber cables worked perfectly for my simulators, and with 6 of them, I have plenty of spares. The price was surprisingly reasonable as well.

    Perfect: Patch Cables
So far, my fiber toolbox has been all about cleaving, cleaning, testing, and identifying. But at some point you need something to actually plug in. That’s where these FLYPROFiber 8-meter patch cables come in. They’re LC-to-LC, single-mode OS2, duplex 9/125 µm jumpers – in other words, the kind of yellow spaghetti that keeps the light flowing between your neatly prepared ends. These come in a 2-pack, each about 26 feet long. They’re made with OS2 9/125 µm fiber, armored with LSZH (low-smoke zero-halogen) jacketing, and spec’d to handle -20°C to +70°C. The zirconia ceramic connectors promise ≤0.3 dB insertion loss and ≥50 dB return loss. Translation: you’re not losing signal just because you patched it wrong. They’re also tested at the factory, so you’re not rolling the dice on quality. With a bend radius of 15 mm, they’re more flexible than older 50 µm cables, so you can snake them around rack corners and through tight cabinet spaces without worrying about bending losses. For practice, they’re ideal – you can patch, test, clean, and handle them without fear that the first mistake will cost you.Sidebar: Alphabet Soup – What Do These Letters Mean?LC: The connector type. “Lucent Connector.” Small form factor, snaps in with a latch. Great for high-density racks.OS2: Optical Single-mode, version 2. Designed for long-distance runs with low attenuation. Think highways, not driveways.Single-mode (SM, 9/125 µm): The fiber core is 9 µm, cladding 125 µm. Carries light straight down the glass for long distances. Duplex just means you get two fibers side by side – one transmit, one receive.LSZH: Low Smoke Zero Halogen. Means the jacket won’t belch toxic gas if it catches fire. Safer for indoor installs.Once you decode the alphabet, it makes sense. LC connectors, single-mode fiber, duplex pair, OS2 grade. In practice: yellow fiber jumpers that do their job without drama.Series Note:This is the sixth addition to the fiber bench. After sharpening blades, scrubbing connectors, and hauling out test gear, it’s nice to have some actual glass to plug in. Practice makes perfect, and these 8-meter jumpers are forgiving enough to learn with while still being up to spec for real-world use.Summary:The FLYPROFiber LC-to-LC OS2 patch cables are reliable, well-built, and flexible. They give me a safe way to practice handling, cleaning, and testing connections before I move on to permanent runs.Pros:✅ OS2 9/125 µm single-mode fiber for stable transmission✅ LC duplex connectors with low insertion and high return loss✅ 15 mm bend radius – forgiving in tight spaces✅ LSZH jacket for safer indoor use✅ Factory-tested with a published specCons:❌ Bright yellow isn’t subtle (but at least it’s easy to trace)❌ At 8 m, too long for a bench, too short for a backbone – practice territory❌ Duplex clip is plastic and could feel sturdier🏅 Verdict: Not glamorous, but essential. These patch cables are the training wheels and workhorses of the fiber bench – flexible, reliable, and perfect for your network or in my case, splice practice.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5 stars)

  4. Shmack’s Thoughts

    Great
No issue with these cables. the LC to LC connection fit great with all SFPs. Nice and snug. Not seeing any data lose or performance degradation. Really get what they are selling here. nothing else to reports. Price is fine and they fell just like every other cable.

Good Value for High Speed Connectivity
I ordered this set of two fiber patch cables to interconnect 10 Gbps ports on our network rack. I tested them on our Arista switches using LR (Long-Range) SFP+ transceivers . The ports came up automatically upon connection, and multiple data transfers reported zero errors. These are single-mode cables, and they performed flawlessly in our 10G network. There are “1” and “2” markers identifying the fiber strands on each side, which simplifies separating the strands for simplex connections.Overall, the cables are well-built, high-quality, and provide a reliable, good value solution for critical high-speed links.

  6. Jose Gomez

    Good packaging
Product is good quality, packaged well, bag is thick, protects the cords well.

  7. Toy Daemon

    Good Source of Fiber.
“Need for speed.”I recently added a network switch to the “home theater” – that is, the room with a TV and a soundbar. I figured I might as well use an optical fiber connection to the main network switch just in case I need the extra bandwidth in the future. I can just use some short off-the-shelf patch cables to connect devices instead of running (and making) multiple long Ethernet cables.FLYPROFiber’s LC to LC Single Mode Fiber Patch Cable is made of two fiber cables connected on both ends by duplex connectors. It is as plug-and-play as it gets. Once plugged into the switches, the switches were able to auto-negotiate and move data at the ports’ rated speeds. I have not noticed any issues with connectivity since the installation. This is part of a two-pack, so now I have a spare in case my decorator wants to transform the sewing room into a music room.

  8. Scott H.

Amazing fiber cables for the price
These are an incredible value for the price. The connectors are perfectly sized and lock into the jacks tight. The line tag labels are clear and easy to read. The jacket is thick enough to offer great protection, but flexible enough to get some great bends around rack corners and such. I tested these between 10Gb switch links, and speeds were spot on. I also tested these with my fancy new (gifted) fiber cable tester, and they passed with shining colors. (see what I did there?)There are a lot of fiber cables out there, but few offer the value for the price that these bring.
