Excellent Z-Wave Adapter — Incredible Range and Stability
I migrated my existing Z-Wave network to this adapter using Z-Wave JS in Home Assistant and placed it in the same spot as my old controller. The reception improvement is outstanding — the mesh has become almost unnecessary since nearly every sensor now connects directly. Migration was smooth, setup was quick, and performance has been rock-solid. A must-have upgrade for any Home Assistant Z-Wave setup.

The Best Way to Add Reliable Z-Wave to Home Assistant
The Home Assistant Connect ZWA-2 has been an excellent addition to my setup. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do: provide fast, reliable, fully local Z-Wave control with zero cloud dependency. Setup was straightforward, it paired cleanly with Home Assistant, and it’s been rock-solid since day one.I’m using it to manage several Z-Wave devices, including a Honeywell Z-Wave thermostat, and the experience has been flawless. All communication happens locally between Home Assistant and my devices, which means instant response times and no reliance on external services. My thermostat updates are immediate, commands are reliable, and I’ve had no dropped connections or weird delays. One of the biggest advantages of the ZWA-2 is peace of mind. There’s no vendor cloud, no accounts to create, and no risk of features disappearing because a company shuts down an API or drops support. This was especially important to me after replacing a cloud-based thermostat in the past. With the ZWA-2, everything stays under my control. If you care about local-first smart home control, privacy, and long-term reliability, the Home Assistant Connect ZWA-2 is exactly what you want. It integrates perfectly with Home Assistant, works great with devices like Z-Wave thermostats, and avoids all the problems that come with cloud-dependent hubs. Highly recommended.

Easy hookup, migration, and operation. HUGE range improvement!
I connected this up to a Raspberry Pi 4B running home assistant. I migrated my Zwave network from a USB style Zwave hub to this device. Everything went super smooth, and this hub provides a TREMENDOUS improvement in range over my USB stick hub! Easy 5 star rating for this well engineered, well built product.

Finally, a Z-Wave Controller That Just Works!
After months of frustration dealing with Zooz Z-Wave controller issues and a painfully unstable Z-Wave network post-migration, I finally switched to the ZWA-2—and I couldn’t be happier. The difference was immediate and dramatic. Devices that constantly dropped off the network are now rock solid. Automations run smoothly, and the overall responsiveness of my smart home has improved significantly. It’s clear that the ZWA-2 is engineered with reliability in mind.Setup was straightforward, and the controller integrated seamlessly with my existing system. I wish I had made the switch sooner—it would have saved me countless hours of troubleshooting. If you’re struggling with Z-Wave reliability or migrating from another controller, do yourself a favor and get the ZWA-2. It’s the upgrade your smart home deserves.

Wowsa, I’m finally happy with my ZWave system
This is the 3rd ZWave coordinator I have used. The first was a Zooz 800 usb stick. It had to be in probably the worst location ever – the home run room for all wires and electronics on top of a metal server rack. The room is on one side of the house and I could not even get things in the next room to reliably communicate. The next was a POE ZAC93 coordinator, I figured second floor in center of the house that is open to the floor below – can’t go wrong right? Except I kept losing communication to the switches mounted on exterior walls and had no chance of adding the door contacts. LR you say? LR had no effect on these switches and contacts. My house is stucco with tempered glass. Finally, my last ditch effort, I bought this. First I tried to place it in the same spot as the POE coordinator but I could not upgrade to the portable (experimental) firmware for WiFi. I figured I might need to set it up as my coordinator first, so I placed it in the faraday cage directly connected to HA and migrated everything (super easy, follow the instructions on the HA website) and what do you know, my signal went up! I was even able to install my zooz outdoor contacts on my metal gate – finally a dream realized! I could almost feel my non-LR hopping better than before… all from the small room that checks most of the “don’t install near” boxes.I am so much happier with ZWave as a whole now. I doubt I’ll even try the portable firmware, since it’s tucked away and working perfectly. I feel really good supporting Nabu Casa as well because they do pretty great work on Home Assistant.

I was a bit hesitant to buy this thing, mostly due to the price, but now that I have it all set up, I am very happy with it, and glad that I made this purchase! After ditching SmartThings a few years ago, I dove into Home Assistant and have never looked back, but I have had some Z-Wave ‘range’ issues. I have 50 Z-Wave device spread out on three floors in my home, plus the garage and the mesh solution was just barely cutting it. After setting up the HA Connect, (oh btw, the migration process was a breeze! Only took a few minutes!), and checking the visualization, everything was connecting directly to the ZWA-2 device! I’ve only had it up and running for a couple of days, but so far, I am very impressed with this device! I like that it is an “Official” device for HA, and that it feels really well built. I now have no regrets spending a premium on this device as it is working WAY better than I expected. I would recommend this device to a friend.

I bought the ZWA-2 because I previously had issues reaching some of my z-wave nodes, even with additional mains-powered nodes to improve the mesh. I’m very happy with the results, the range is really great.Setting it up with zwave-js-ui and Home Assistant worked very well.

Prix semble élevé, par-contre si ça continue à aussi bien fonctionner, ça vaut le prix.Fonctionne super bien.Super facile à utiliser.Tout mes appareils z-wave ce sont connectés super facilement et les appareils pour le moment du-moins reste connecté sans difficulté.Je suis débutant et de bon produit font toute la différence.Recommande sans aucun doute.
