Small, compact, and great for travel!
This mobile hot spot was very easy to set up and is small and convenient to use. One thing that I immediately appreciated was that it was very convenient to join my phone to the WiFi network by way of a QR code that is displayed on the screen when prompted. That is nice instead of having to remember to look for the SSID and then copying down the password to join. Point your phone’s camera at the QR code and it joins right up with no issues. I have used my iPhone and my iPad to join this hotspot using the QR code and it is fast and easy.As other have pointed out it is limited to 4G speeds, but for most situations that is probably sufficient. It certainly is for me. One feature that didn’t occur to me right off was that this unit is not tied to any one carrier. It can connect to different cellular carriers, both in the US and abroad. It didn’t immediately dawn on me that this is a nice feature. My personal cellphone is on the T-Mobile network. As I am sure we all know in some areas, especially away from larger metropolitan areas one carrier can be more prevalent than others. I remember being in Eastern New Mexico a few years ago at a military installation. I couldn’t get a cellphone signal on my business phone at all. At the time the company I worked for used ATT. They said that other carriers worked, but AT&T did not. Being that it was a military installation, there are ZERO public WiFi hotspots, at least not where I was at. It was inconvenient to say the least to not have my phone while working every day.This device would be super handy in a situation like that, because it can use other cellular carriers to connect.I can think of other situations where it would be handy to have this device and that would be for international travel. I have been to many places in Europe and last year we went to Australia. For our personal cellphones we have the 2nd to the top tier of T-Mobile’s service. Because of that we do get, I believe 5GB of high speed data internationally, but after that it is like 2G speeds. I think it’s capped at like 256 Kbps. (Yes, that’s kilobits/second). Extremely slow to the point of almost being unusable. Of course, I can buy more data for my phone and use it as a hot spot, but it’s roughly the same price as international data is for this device. Plus, the drawback of being tied to the T-Mobile network and any cellular provider that works with T-Mobile abroad.I haven’t had this mobile hotspot too long and have not traveled yet, certainly not internationally, but it will definitely be making every trip with me from now on. One thing that I forgot to mention is that this is a pay-as-you-go system. There are no contracts, so if you don’t use it for a period of time there’s no money being spent on something not needed. When you know that you are going to need a WiFi hot spot then it’s a simple matter to buy a plan that meets your needs via the app.The app is a pretty handy way to interact with the device, although this hotspot does have a small touchscreen. When I activated it came with 10 GB of data (that is good over a 30-day period) and a 1 GB data package that is good for global use. The global package doesn’t expire for 1821 days from now (~ 5 years). That will be nice to be able to have the first 1 GB of data for free the next time I am overseas.I definitely recommend this device!

Strong signal
I have been using this hotspot for the past week while traveling in Japan and it works great. I simply powered it up and it automatically found and connected to a network. I’ve been using it primarily for Google maps and translate and there is no lag, even with the free 1GB of data.The WiFi signal is strong (my cell phone shows full bars one room away, which is more than what it reports from my nighthawk hotspot). Battery lasted about six hours when out and about. The height and width is smaller than a soda can while being thinner that a Galaxy Fold.My favorite features are (1) the ability to accept a sim if you prefer to use a different network (tip: you might be able to find a local sim that offers data at a lower rate) and (2) wifi passthrough.I setup the hotspot to connect to my travel router which, in turn, is connected to the hotel’s WiFi network. The other day, our family returned to our room after a tiring day exploring Tokyo and the kids hopped onto their tablets to stream video. After about an hour, I realized that I forgot to turn off the hotspot. Fortunately, because the hotspot saw and connected to the network being broadcast by the travel router, it pulled data from that source instead of from the ($) cellular network.I did the setup at home before leaving on the trip and was able to do so without reviewing the manual. The UI is simple and self explanatory.

Small and versatile
I need to travel internationally with my wife. Instead of pay $100 per month per line to my cell provider, I decided to something more flexible. With this, I can customize my data plan and share it with multiple devices. This product is perfect for travel. Decent battery for 2 to 3 devices. It is easy to setup. Speed is not the best but i am not gaming on this device. I bet it is great for cruise.

コンパクトで持ち運びしやすいので、旅先でも邪魔になりません。充電のもちも十分で、1日持ち歩いても充電が切れることはありませんでした。また、飛行機内Wi-Fiにも使えて、オフラインにせずに仕事もできて、とても助かります。海外で利用するだけでなく、国内でも使えるので場所を選ばずに、ネット環境をつくることができるので便利です。
