We love our dream camera! It was very easy to pair in the app and get all set up. It gives such great peace of mind when baby transitions to their crib with amazing features like tracking room humidity and temperature alerting you when the room becomes too uncomfortable for baby. You can change the settings to what you want it to pick up from noises to motions and also captures video moments during alert. The picture quality is absolutely amazing and very clear! Love that it plugs into the wall so you don’t have to worry about charging a battery and constantly worry about what the battery life is at and comes with covers to tuck away the cord and hide it. Definitely worth its value and for the peace of mind it gives!

Not compatible with public wifi
I travel a lot, and needed a video monitor that I could access remotely. You need to be connected to the WiFi that the monitor is, and it doesn’t work with public wifi. I was severely disappointed that I wouldn’t be able to use it in the hotel (what I purchased it for), but I bought a travel router that I then duplicated my phone’s IP address to, and it works! I believe the router was $17 open box? I wish that information had been available beforehand, as I was very nervous to do “technological” troubleshooting. The notifications in a small space are very annoying if you don’t turn the camera off outside of nap time (my phone will notify me every time my baby yells, and the monitor then records and saves a clip of an empty nursery.) It struggled a little bit getting set up (detection issues), but no issues since. The stand is VERY steady!! The mounting clips (for the cables, to keep them stuck to the wall away from baby hands) just use adhesive and do not stick to our walls (oak paneling painted with matte Ben Moore paint.) It has been so much fun seeing what my baby does after she goes to sleep, and it has eased our mind after we transitioned to using a floor bed.

Do not buy
Please do your research before buying!! I purchased this for my baby girl as we were transitioning her to her own crib/room. I saw it was owlet brand and the price and assumed it would be a good quality monitor. After not even a month I’ve had so many issues and they just keep getting worse. The camera will randomly disconnect all the time. I will wake up in the middle of the night and it just says “could not connect” no video or sound coming out. So I have no idea if my baby had been crying. You have to exit out of the app and reopen it sometimes for over 20 minutes before you can get it to reconnect. When it is connected sometimes there is no picture… just a grey screen with a loading symbol. The audio sometimes cuts out. I am sleeping and I cannot hear a sound machine and realize there has not been no sound coming out at all. Also it lacks very badly. At first sometimes it was only 5 seconds. I would hear a cry from her room and then a few seconds later I would hear the same cry on the app. Not too big of a deal but sometimes it’s bad enough to where I lay her down, grab something to drink and some pick up my phone to check on her and it shows an empty crib. It had no updated me setting her into it. Also my final issue is that it freezes without you knowing. Onetime I was actively watching her while she was napping and she seemed asleep but then her eufy so I base was lighting up like she was moving. She was awake and crying and I had no idea because the image showed a sleeping baby. I will be returning and purchasing a different one. I can’t sleep peacefully knowing something could be wrong with my baby and I would have no idea because this monitor only wants to work sometimes.

Work but laggy
got this camera for our bedside bassinet because it was on sale and we already put the Nanit on the wall in the nursery. It works ok but is super laggy. I will hear my baby cry and then 5 seconds later I will hear it on the camera. Works in a pinch when you need something and it’s already in the owlet app since I use the sock. Might travel with it if needed but won’t be moving it over to the nursery.

I absolutely love using the owl sock, and adding this camera to it was just the cherry on top. It is so convenient to be able to look on my phone and check the baby and see their heart rate and oxygen levels right on the screen. It actually does pick up the cry detection as well, because I check the videos from the night prior, and there will be saved clips with the baby crying and me grabbing her. The video and audio are both clear as well. The price point is perfect too! I did initially have some issues setting it up, but the button on the back to reset it was really helpful. I held that, waited for the chime, and then it blinked, red and blue, which means that it is in pairing mode. I had to do that a few times before it worked, but besides that there’s been no issues!

Worth it if you can get it on sale? Quality of the image and sound is nice with maybe a 1s delay. It comes in a nice packaging with everything you need to secure it and the cord to a wall. The major draw back is the cam sporadically goes offline and I have to factory reset it to get it to sync again. Idk if the cam is resetting after updates and doing that? It’s def annoying and if you only notice you have to sync again after putting baby down welp… guess you have no cam for the night.
