Not what I expected.
This is definitely not what I expected.I bought these to upgrade some of my 720p cameras, which i have been slowly upgrading.Out of the box, these were not compatible with my older Swann 1590 DVR, which already had 3-2mp cameras and were working fine, an improvement over the 720p, so I thought more mp would be worth buying a newer dvr.I received my new dvr that is compatible with many different protocols, including 5mp camerad, so was excited to test these out. I was quickly disappointed to see that these 5mp cameras are no better than my 2mp cameras running on an older dvr (see pictures, first is 5mp and second is 2mp). What’s worse, aside from the grainy image, it’s that the FPS barely reach 27 if anything, whilst my 2mp were running fluid at 30. I tried out different settings in the dvr but could not get these cameras to output a decent image; yes, at the moment this new dvr exacerbated what appears to be ground loop so waiting on isolators, but even the quality of the image looks subpar when compared to the 2mp.It does get detected as a 5mp camera by the system, and I have no way to test that out other than what I see on the screen, but to me, these are not the upgrade I was expecting.

Very Bright
I have installed a few of these at my home. The picture is clear and quality is great. I really like how bright the led lights are for it’s definitely a deterrent. My first camera is about a year old and still no problems with it. I would buy again and again.

Impressive color night vision
Very nice picture and quality, impressive color night vision. Only flaw is the led too bright at night, looks like it is turning on the light for the whole night.

Poor design. Night vision not great.
Installing the camera requires to unscrew the dome and mount the base in an awkard position, while the dome hangs by a thin wire that more likely connects to the LED array – this could be easily damaged during base attach. A longer wire to the dome would have allowed to secure the dome out of base install area and avoid damage to the LED array( or an overhaul of the whole mounting design). To me this is a poor engineering design.Camera image contrast at night is not great either.
