Good, inexpensive back-up meter.
Great for an inexpensive, reliable back-up meter.I keep my large, full-featured DMM in my basement workshop, but often have a need to use it upstairs for simple tasks like measuring battery voltage, checking for continuity, etc. Buying this small meter for the upstairs eliminates trips to the basement, and it does everything I need it to do for simple tasks.

Works for testing grounding mats, but cord length and instructions need improvement
I purchased this to test whether my grounding mat was actually working, and in terms of functionality, it does what it’s supposed to do. I was able to confirm that my mat is grounded.However, I ran into a few usability issues that are worth mentioning for anyone considering this, especially if you’re not familiar with electrical tools.The wires are not long enough to easily connect to the grounding port without lifting the device up. In my case, the outlet is positioned much higher than normal, which made it impossible to keep the tester flat on the bed while connected. Because of that, I couldn’t touch the mat properly while it was hanging between the outlet and the bed, which affected the measurement setup.To get a usable reading, I had to touch the mat with my foot instead, which worked, but wasn’t ideal.Another challenge was the instructions. They were not very beginner-friendly. I’m not an electrical tech person, so I had to watch YouTube videos and read online guides to fully understand how to use the tester correctly.Pros:Confirms whether a grounding mat is workingOnce set up correctly, it provides accurate resultsUseful tool for grounding verificationCons:Wires are too short for some outlet setupsDifficult to use if outlets are positioned highInstructions are not clear for beginnersWho this is best for:People who already have basic electrical knowledge or a standard, low outlet setup. Easy to use and has directions
Very nice multi meter and easy to use. I would recommend this multi meter and the price point was very good I ordered 2 one was a Christmas present and one for myself. The website said that their was a newer version of this model but it also cost a little more so I ordered the original model and am happy with it.It is a basic multi meter good for use around the house and garage. Would recommend and buy it again.Thanks!

Great value and worked as expected
I recently had to replace a sprinkler control box which was hard wired into my house fuse panel. I purchased this multimeter to be sure I was safe working with that amount of electricity. I am happy to report that the job is done and I am still alive, so the multimeter worked as expected. The price was hard to beat and it felt like better quality than I was expecting. Happy with this purchase. Very easy to use.

Good buy, wise investment.
Good buy! Had a Harbor Freight Cen Tech tester for 25 years. Good cheap little tester but one of two plastic screw studs finally broke changing battery so cheapskate me ordered this new one. Battery was in this new tester when it arrived. Heavier, stouter construction and one screw for battery replacement. Dial settings must be universal but so far I consider this a good multi test meter buy.

If you dabble in electronics a bit or even if you don’t it is avery helpful tool. This worked great. I can check Voltage, Ampearage of my connections. Check if a charger is working. Check plug poits at home. There are literally thousands of applications. I don’t do much but the bit I need works great. Recommended in this price point.
